This place is awesome. Awesome concept. Unfortunately, all the kombucha I’ve had from here is just plain terrible in my humble opinion. It tastes like flat soda. I’ve had numerous flavors and it’s all the same, flat. This tells me they rush the process in order to maintain supply. Either they are not leaving the first fermentation long enough and/or not doing a second fermentation. Maybe some people like flat booch but not me. It’s a shame because the concept is awesome.
This kombucha is subtle and they have a variety of flavors. My favorite!

Love Soma! Best booch in Portland. Always a wide variety of flavors on tap for every palate. The taproom is a very inviting and warm space perfect for catching up. Rachel is a gem and is mega helpful with recommendations. Oh and I always leave with a rack of wellness waters which are choice first thing in the morning or to wind down at night.

I visited Soma for the first time last week and was greeted by a huge selection of delicious kombuchas and an incredibly helpful and friendly attendant Rachel! She helped me navigate their wide selection of drink and menu offerings (lots of different sizes and a point system! Hooray!). She even told me I could mix and match different types of kombucha, which completely blew my mind! I will absolutely be coming back to taste more of these delicious drinks, and for the great service as well! Thanks so much Soma! You’re a gem!
