I wanted to try this place to support, but I can't seem to connect. I ordered online and it was assigned to a DoorDash driver. They arrived but the company was closed. There just has to be more consistency with the hours because It's hard to tell if they will be available or not. I tried calling but it went to voicemail.

This review does not refer to the quality of the food. On a Saturday at 4:30, I wanted to place a biggish order. I called and no one answered. So we showed up and the cart was closed. I could not tell why. Their online hours on both Google and their own site stated that they are open till 6. There was no reason on their site for a temporary closure.I get there are reasons for closures, but as a customer I’d like to know about that before we drive over to place an order. I hate to ding a local business, but it IS a business.

This place has the best fried fish I have EVER had. I love the portions, and you can taste the love they put into preparing the food. You have to give this place a try. You will not regret it. The food is AMAZING!Parking: Food cart is on a very busy street, so it's hard to find parking sometimes.

Best catfish I have had since I moved away from the actual Mississippi (the state). Potato salad is to die for. Real Southern potato salad. Cute little covered area with a gas fire pit.

The only down side to this place is their inconsistent hours. I live close by in the neighborhood and walk by this cart multiple times a week and they never hardly seem to be open. HIGHLY INCONSISTENT business hours. They are closed more than they are open. I’ve only been able to eat here once and loved my chicken dinner. Food was great And the one of the owners is a family friend so I have been trying to support Black business. Unfortunately I’ve tried to return at least 5 times since and they have been closed every single time I’ve tried to go even with their “new winter hours” on their website. They are closed more than they are open even when they are suppose to be open.

If you want southern food in Portland go here. The food is so good and tastes homemade and the guys who run the place are very sweet. They make you feel very welcome and seem like they really care about the food / customers.

It was OK BBQ, it didn't really standout from any other BBQ I've had except the ribs were huge...could've let the coals burn a little longer before putting the meat on, I could taste the fuel

Excellent comfort food and something for everybody. My kids especially loved the mac and cheese & my wife said that the ribs were some of the best she has ever had! I agree with her and would add that the potato salad is equally as impressive!

They were open like they said that they would be on Memorial Monday and the ribs were falling off the bone! Should've gotten more but will definitely do it again next time.
