I have been coming to Southpark since it opened but will not come again-----until they STOP adding a credit card surcharge! Gratuity is one thing, but no credit card charges.
Too expensive and food is just mediocre. Limited menu so there's not a lot of entree choices.to me the seafood is just meh. Best thing on the menu is the lobster roll starter. Chowder has gnocchi in it which makes it just odd. Very handy to the Schnitzer for shows but wish the food was better.
This is a venerable restaurant with a deserved reservation for serving authentic PNW seafood without compromise. Particularly memorable was the sturgeon which was impeccable.
Each time we visit Portland, we always make it a point to have dinner here. But I will have to say... this may have been out last. Menu, staff, and quality of food was not up to par as our last visits since 2021.
Server was awful. In a rush. Slapped down the bill etc. If gratuity hadn't been automatically included, his would've reflected the service. Food was overly salted. Fish was fine but the fries and cole slaw no so much. I've been to South Park many times over the years; first time being so disappointed.
Adam was great!! Great experience!! Adam also gave a GREAT recommendation for a day trip to wine country.
The menu is very limited and the air conditioning was not working when we were there on an 85° day.
Excellent Happy Hour with reduced charges on whole menu including wine etc. Made excellent dinner before play at the Keller
As always, our dinner at Southpark was fantastic. We went for the Friday happy hour fish fry (offered during the month of August). There are five types of seafood to choose from, and include two sides and your choice of sauce. I had the steelhead with mashed potatoes, coleslaw and remoulade. My husband had cod, fries, coleslaw and habanero aioli. Both were delicious!! We each had the flight of local rosé's, perfect with our meal. Service was great - I accidentally dropped a piece of fish on the floor and they were kind enough to fire up another piece. We look forward to our next meal there!!
I took my bestie here for her birthday. We had such a lovely meal, and our waiter was on point with suggestions. The sturgeon piccata was 10/10!

We were 4 first time diners! Coming from Florida was anxious to sample the swordfish vs what we get on the Gulf. Found yours somewhat meatier, but not as soft. The greens & forbidden rice were nice accompaniments. My partner opted for the baby flavor filled shrimp, quite tasty. Our daughter's selection of the Cioppino a bit too soupy. Serving rather "leisurely" short on spot on svc. Overall enjoyable Allan H
Ordered the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were delicious, but the grits were swimming in cream and were overwhelmed by it.

My favorite seafood restaurant in Portland. I love the clam chowder. It isn't too thick but not just soup. You get the clams in the shell! It takes a little bit of work but it is worth it. Full clams not pieces of clam that have been minced. I also had the Cioppino. Excellent. Dessert was the Blueberry Tart. We had great food and dining experience.
Really enjoyable.

First off, the food was fantastic. We came back to Southpark for their advertised FRIDAY FISH FRY happy hour in August. Great deal that you should check out! Knew it was going to be awesome when I broke my fish in half and heard a drool-worthy CRUNCH! I chose as my two sides, corn on the cob and fries. Southpark fries are amazing. Just wish they would have been a tad more generous with the portion size. And was surprised that for PNW, corn was not great. Maybe cooked a touch too long or held warm too long? Maybe seasoned butter would help. Another great thing: 7-day happy hour is back! We stopped coming when they took weekend happy hour away but happy to make the return to one of our favorite spots. The new happy hour is 15% off the entire menu! Beware though that drink prices seemed quite steep. NEED TO KNOW: Southpark has added gratuity to your bill, which I'm okay with. But they have added a charge to use your credit card as well. This was quite shocking as we all know cash is not used much anymore. Finally, we came to celebrate a birthday and received a sweet card upon arrival however, no effort was made to offer a dessert for the celebrant.
