Male bartender with gauges was extremely unprofessional. There was a long line as it was a Saturday night and he was obviously very upset about this. He cursed multiple times at our group, aggressively throwing a tantrum about how busy it was while actively holding up the line by berating us. Actively made the experience significantly longer than needed while complaining about how the transaction needed to wrap up (asking what type of liquor we wanted in simple mixed drinks, making rude comments about our ID photos). He did not even ask one of our group's order, instead just grabbing 2 of what the last person ordered. We did not have complicated drinks or special requests. We have all worked in food service. When it's busy it sucks. But you can either quit or do your job.

Space Room. Same dim light, same peeling galaxies. The bartender already had my two-dollar beer in hand before I sat down—routine. But tonight I stopped him.
“Not that,” I said. “Reach for the gin.”
He froze. “Whoa. Didn’t expect that.”
I nodded. “Yep. It’s my grandmother’s drink. She’d be proud of me today.”
That’s all I said, and it was enough for the five of us, myself included, to be just a little enchanted and moved by what was unfolding. The barflies leaned in, waiting for more, but silence carried it. The tonic hissed, ice cracked, and I raised the glass:
“To Ruth.”
They echoed it back. Glasses lifted. And just like that, Space Room got warmer—like someone else had pulled up a chair. Someone only us in this small moment could see.
I closed the night with the usual two-dollar beer. But I left knowing this place can hold both the ridiculous (see patio sign: “the medical term is diarrhea, guys”) and the sacred.
Great food and good vibes! We sat outside and had a great time hanging out.

We go for brunch and enjoy the food and drinks a lot. The eggs Benedict is tasty and authentic. The pudding shots are unique and fun. It's a relaxed atmosphere, and dining out on the patio is great with a large group of friends. If you want a good brunch and less wait times for a crowded dining room, go here! Warning: service can be slow. Last time we were there, everyone after us in our group was served before we were. And we ordered first. We had to remind them of our order. Also, if you want an itemized receipt, you gave to ask ahead of time.

I've given this place SO many chances and they're always lazy, slow bartenders. I was getting a tattoo nearby and stopped in for a quick drink after.
I sat at a nearly-empty bar. Was never acknowledged. After the bartender finished hugging her friends and talking about smoked meats, she then decided to do a round of dishes (still no acknowledgement, only person at the bar).
By the time she finishes the round of dishes, there's a line at the service well. She proceeds to serve three groups ahead of me.
There are so many great bars in this area. I'm sure you've heard of this place/it was recommended. Avoid it like the plague.
