Great selection of vegan bagels/non dairy spreads. I would avoid their mock meats, sausage is seitan that is very chewy and gummy and the bacon was equally odd. We go here often and it’s consistent and reliable aside from the vegan meats!

Well a bit hit and miss. The poppy seed bagels were stale and had an annoying flavor of garlic seasoning. Drip coffee was ok. Just can’t find anything to get excited about unfortunately.

I appreciate that they offer several vegan spreads--Cultured Kindness cashew cheese, hummus, peanut butter, strawberry jam, and Tofutti cream cheese. However, I ordered vegan bacon, cheese, and egg on a pumpernickel bagel. Note: Other than the cheddar flavors, the bagels are now vegan.

Easy place to grab a bite, bagels are not as fresh as I would expect, staff is collecting a paycheck.

Had a bagel with salmon cream cheese. Was really yummy. The coffee pot was almost empty, got 1/2 cup of Luke warm coffee. The barista offered me a Americano! Enjoyed the warmth of the place.

This place used to be good. Maybe if they found some decent staff, instead of the lazy, entitled, man hating, far left, lgbtq workers, they still would be. The bagels themselves are still good, but overpriced. The shrinkflation and price gauging on their sandwiches is very real! My Larry David looked as if the top bagel had been wiped across the fish, without any actually being added to it. My brother received only a single thin slice of lox on his. If this is what Portland restaurants have to offer now, they deserve to go under.

Paid 12$ for two coffees that were absolutely awful (ended up throwing them away)..the bagels were at least edible but it was apparent that the staff were not engaged. Super disappointed and feel robbed. It's not often I treat myself and this was a really terrible experience.

This was my second and likely last time here. I wish there was a way to “un-tip”. Ordered two bagels for myself and my partner (salt + herb bagels with chive cream cheese, partner added turkey as well). First of all, the turkey add-on is $4 (which nearly doubles the price of the bagel ???) and you get about 2 slices of turkey. Second, took us about 20 mins to get our bagels. Yes it was lunch time, but with 3 people working you’d expect slightly faster service for something as simple as a 1 or 2 ingredient sandwich. Third, the bagels were cold and seemed stale. They were chewy and dense. Overall disappointment. I’m not a huge stickler when it comes to politeness and whatnot from service staff, but often I’ll excuse subpar food if the staff are exceptionally kind. They weren’t. This place has no redeeming qualities (except for maybe the cream cheese — it was decent). Keeping it at 2 stars just because 1 star feels dramatic.

This is my 2nd time I have been here now & actually tried the food. Both times I’ve been here for coffee (shaken iced expresso (7.5/10) & hot latte (6.5/10)). My friend got the Willy Wonka special which I tried and wished I got that, it was really good! I also got the avocado smash bagel with cream cheese and that hit the spot too. The pepper turkey bagel was also a hit. This place does remind me of a laundromat lol

They say no dogs allowed, which makes perfect sense to me. But someone came in with a dog and the workers started petting the dog, feeding him and then letting him shake near the counter where all bagels are. Gross. It’s unsanitary, rude and inconsiderate of people with allergies. Also, my bagel was cold despite having asked for a toasted bagel. Do not recommend.

Used to be a very good Portland bagel and some decent coffee, but after being away for several years was extremely disappointed the few times i’ve been back: gotten some bagels in the morning hours and they already taste/feel like day-olds, and the consistency of the bake ought to be embarrassing.
Luckily, Henry Higgins took over the old Kornblatt’s location a few blocks further down 23rd, and they make a fantastic bagel, haven’t been disappointed yet after dozens of visits. Give them a try!

The bagel tasted good, the cream cheese tasted good, worker was friendly. But I was there was only one person who ordered before me and all I got was a toasted bagel with cream cheese. It took over 15 minutes. For WHAT !? Wish I read the reviews first. Didn’t realize it took that long to toast something lol
