I love Staccato. It's locally owned and has unique flavors made by the owner. One of my favorites is the Rose Petal. It is subtle and Persian! The pricing is just right. The cones are always fresh and crispy. This place is a real Portland gem!
My fiancee and I visited Portland on a small vacation and found ourselves in this cute little place twice. Both times were delicious! The first time we had one goat cheese and fig drizzle (sounds odd but it’s AMAZING) and then a mix of banana and strawberry. The second photo shows a raspberry cone and an espresso mixed with salted caramel. Both times we went they had unique flavors out. None taste fake or like your typical gelato. I don’t know how you can operate any type of food service in a restaurant that reeks of chemicals and detergent. The smell was so strong (5-July) no one could sit inside. I’m hopeful they just had a serious problem and had to deep clean everything since the service and gelato were on point. If the fix the atmosphere with better ventilation this place could be five stars.
