Starbucks in the store has horrible customer service. Go to the real independent store. These people care less about the Starbucks experience.

I went through e very unfortunate situation yesterday at Safeway SW Jefferson St in downtown Portland. The cashier (Erin) denied to sell me drinks because he wanted to see my U.S. visa after I showed him my government issued passport. I refused to show him my visa. I had to make a scene and requested to see the manager on duty.After his manager told him to sell it to me he threatened me and told me that he might not proceed if we continue talking (me and the other black women who also told him it makes no sense). He even made a racist joke when I was leaving. I just feel bad right now and not safe at all when I go there. It’s the closest grocery store for me and I feel so sad this is still happening in Portland in 2023, to me and to other legally foreign students/workers.

Josie remembers me by name every time i come in! They do this for many other customers as well. Its such a small thing but that paired with their great attitude and quick customer service makes this location one of my favorites!

Are you just going to talk to your friend or are you going to help the line of people behind her? It's been 10-minutes. I never expect to get good customer service at this place, but today it's beyond bad! There are even 2 people working. This is complete BS!!! Not even wearing gloves? I didn't want my items warmed up, but she did it anyway. Plus, they are arguing with the other customers now? Hopefully management sees this and go has a talk with the 2 ladies!

I absolutely love this Starbucks! I happen to be lucky enough to work about 0.4 miles away and have this great place to stop at to enjoy coffee. Not only can I get my favorites drinks, but I also get to interact with a very friendly and amazing staff. I can not stress enough that they do everything in their power to provide a great experience, no matter how busy. I appreciate the team immensely and look forward everyday to coming and picking up coffee!

Just a quick stop for a so-so coffee. To difficult to get in and out of for just coffee. But had a friend with me and according to him this location is the only place that can seem to get his order right. I don't see what is so hard; a shot of espresso, a shot of regular coffee, a dollop of whipcream.

The employees accused me of faking the scan code on the Starbucks app. The next time I went the barista said they were out of cold brew and the other corrected them. Then they pulled the cash out of my hand very aggressively. A few weeks later they told me not to come and to go to hell. Easily the worst Starbucks experience I’ve had.

Tried to order a simple mocha, was told they don't have the ingredients to make one.....I mean, I know supply shortages are a thing now but it's hard to believe that this Starbucks located inside Safeway can't get grab some chocolate syrup, coffee and milk.....lol...

A bit disappointed as it was not consistent even by their standards. It depends who is preparing the drinks, one day was great the next was just average.

*** they got a new guy in there that is doing his best with what they give him****The worst Starbucks ever. I have been coming in here off and on for about 6 months. The staff changes almost daily. I don't blame them, I think the manager doesn't fully train them because they don't know how to work the register

The workers there always mess up my Carmel Robbin Crunch Frap it be so bitter I would have to give it right back after tasting it please TRAIN THEM! They also needs to work on customer service...

I love the Starbucks inside my local Safeway on 10th and S.W. Jefferson St. It is great in many ways, but most if all is the friendliness of the start working there. I was surprised on my second trip the girl at the counter said " Hello Laura." She knew my name from my previous visit. I felt very good about going there because she remembered my name and it made me feel welcome and at home with my Local Starbucks.( The third trip she recited my drink as I started to place my order. She said "Large Mocha frapachinno, no whipping cream, and extra shot of espresso, and a puppachino for your puppy?" I thought "wow.....she remembered that after two visits?" Awesome Starbucks in downtown Portland.
