The service here is really great and the employees were very helpful. The only reason I am giving it 3 stars is because they have absolutely no seating inside. The square is right outside but it is not helpful when it is raining. They have tons of room for tables and even have tiny standing tables. This place would benefit greatly from some tables being added.

1st thing I would like to get clear, COFFEE AND PEEING go hand in hand, let's get that out of the way... Now not only does this place not have a bathroom, ( it's not even a drive through one either) they don't even have an electrical socket to use if you need to get some extra stuff done with my computer or phone I was taken aback and in shock when I was told that there were none of these basic accomodations, but that's not the cherry on top there's more!!! Yes like it is a contest on how to be the complete opposite of what a coffee shop is and or should be, boy they would win the contest hands down! To my udder amazement and disbelief, when I asked for hot water, I was denied even that , that thing that is a necessity to even make coffee or tea. I was told that they don't give out hot water only warm water ! The reasoning I was told was that "they" ( the homeless or transients ) throw it in their face... Okay I'll admit that's a decent argument to not give Hot water in certain circumstances but not good enough to take it from everyone... I mean use your better judgement for crying out loud geez...
DO BETTER, IVE BEEN IN EVERY STARBUCKS COMING FROM SAN DIEGO CALIFORNIA ON UP THE COAST TO THIS SHOP IN PORTLAND OR. All work the same wonderful way with the same wonderful system, but this one for shame better to lock the doors.. FIN...

First time here around one pm today, bought a brewed coffee it was cold and the taste was rancid :( I couldn’t even go back and request a fresh drink because I was two blocks away when had the first zip 😩

For the longest while the Starbucks here had been perfectly prompt and satisfactory for me, especially when I needed a quick coffee and sandwich going into work.
Today I ordered my sandwich as usual and waited as usual.
...And waited. And waited. And waited.
By that point I was running behind getting to my job location. I'm not sure how long I waited but it must have been at least 10 minutes. The line in front of me had not been unusually long.
After the wait, I FINALLY got my sandwich. However, since by that point I was running late, I politely but firmly told the baristas that this order had taken much longer than usual, that I cannot afford such lack of punctuality, and that I will doubtfully be getting food from there again. The barista's response was a flippant "Yeah, sounds good."
Real shame, for the longest while it had been perfectly fine grab-and-go food. At least there's no shortage of other options within line of sight, so no real loss.

Airport in Portland...we walked to a different tamarack just for Starbucks...ordered....waited waited waited 35minutes later...nothing. we asked for our money back before we missed our plane.
Came here on a rainy day for a little respite. A homeless man came to the table next to me, and started eating a sandwich bought by a customer. After a few bites, he began to pester me about being a kung fu master. So I left. Apparently, I didn't like my morning coffee with pungent odor and a side of racial profiling.

I’m not sure if I complimented the crew here already but their service has always been super inviting and extremely warm. Thank you for that. Sometimes just those tiny gestures help me to kick my day off great. I appreciate it greatly. Being a breakfast server I understand how it can ware on a person not only being up early, having a smile on your face first thing as well as dealing with not so friendly people. So I commend everyone for always being nice to even the rudest people. Drinks are always great too! Thank you all for your service.

I have been a regular at this Starbucks Locál for about 7 yrs. *When I first visited the coffee shop - I was floored to say the least. I've been in Starbucks from here to Oneida, Tennessee and this one at Pioneer Square was a couple/few notches above any other Starbucks or coffee shops, easily. * That was 7 yrs. ago... I'd avoid this location like the plague, unless you enjoy watching it take your spare time while you get to watch them make breakfast platters, milkshakes and anything else besides coffee!!! I'm not lying here! I have went here around 7 in the morning and order a coffee, watch it take them 5 to 10 mins to pour a coffee after it gets ordered. During that time - 90% of the orders made were not, nor it include coffee. They burn their microphone up getting people their breakfast bites that they were running too behind to make themselves, either that or it's still the hip thing to be seen with. (Being seen with something from 10 bucks.) Lol
