Their strawberry liqueur is excellent!
The owner, Sebastian, came to the farmers' market held at a place called Higashi Yuuenchi Park in Kobe City on April 13, and came to my store and bought the summer mandarin oranges I made. When I heard various stories, I also found out that Blankenese in Hamburg Germany, where I also lived, was his hometown and the same age, and I felt very close to him. I really want to visit his brewery in Portland.
Great tastings! I am always impressed with their selection and flavors. Great staff too!
my favorite distillery/etc. in portland. every product is delicious, every tasting is a wonderful experience. i know a couple from DC who tasted the pear brandy and moved here. an essential Portland experience.
We purchased the Biggs Junction apricot brandy. We found it at a liquor store in Salem Oregon. We tasted it and said, “WHAT IS THAT TASTE IN MY MOUTH !” Omg! This might be the best thing we’ve ever tasted. We live near Biggs junction and we have bought many Goodnoe apricots from the Maryhill fruit stand. This brandy taste like you are tasting the sweet apricots from camping in the Goodnoe hills of our youth.Bob & Peggy
Outstanding
Great place, great products, and awesome owner! Thanks for the tastings today. Got a good pick to take home and enjoy with friends. ?
Visited with my wife & adult children. The distillery has a wide variety of brandies & liquors & a limited selection of whiskies. The distiller told us that what is available at any given time can vary widely based on what fruits may be in season. Today, there were sweet spirits, & those with a less sweet taste, like grappa. One of the distillers conducted the tasting. He was knowledgeable & articulate in explaining his process & giving direction about what each of us might like based on individual tastes, as well as suggesting the best order in which to taste or selections. If you can’t find something you like here, I don’t know what you WOULD like. It’s a little out of the way, but well worth a visit. It is a small place. I appreciated the individual attention.
Great experience. Such nice people and just great products. We came home with this today
Great spirits and great people. Will definitely come back to try their other new and exciting whiskeys.

In a town of much liquor, this is some of the best. I was first sold on the famous Nocino at my neighborhood farmers market, and since then it's been a race to attempt to taste everything Stone Barn makes... but that is hard to do. They somehow manage to maintain both variety and quality in an amazing way, especially for being such a wee place. It's the one distillery tasting room I've visited more than twice and specifically taken guests to enjoy. They have brandies, grappas... an Oregon single-barrel bourbon I had to take home as well as give away... not to mention Sebastian's truly amazing knack for cocktails. The tasting room also just has a bright and airy atmosphere (sometimes literally, when the big garage door's open!) that's great to hang out in.
One of the best mom and pop distillery experiences you can have. They always take a break from the still when you come in the door and are willing to give you a tasting and show you around their distillery. Amazing liquors.
Best liquors and great whiskeys. Tastings are always fun, both for the tastings and for the people you meet. Plus Erica and Sebastian are great hosts.
Great place friendly hostess.
What a great time we had touring the distillery and sampling their delicious products. The owners are really cool as well. Overall a must go to place when visiting Portland.
