Nice spot but seemed like a tired shift for staff? I thought menu was interesting but nothing too original.

Service was good. The atmosphere was quite nice. But it was Super overpriced food and drinks. Overly salty and small portions for the cost. First time going and most definitely won’t return.

This place is just adorable and such an eclectic menu! We had the sweetest time celebrating my birthday dinner and will absolutely be back for brunch! Best cooked octopus I've ever had and the table raved about the burger. Also don't miss the cheesecake.

This is a restaurant you should prepare to be at for 1.5 - 2 hours. Portion sizes are small - service is slow for drinks and food. But everything tasted very very good.

If you have a reservation you still have wait a long time to be seated. We waited over an hour 1/2 for our food to finally come. Service wasn't good our waitress had a really bad attitude made unnecessary rude comments as soon as we sat down like example she was letting us know what was sold out from kitchen and we asked her to repeat the last one since we couldn't hear her which she responded to " I just said that so listen " the food was good ....oysters weren't the best quality very fishy tasting. I wouldn't recommend going back here even if the food overall was Decent not worth the bad service or wait however.

Birthday dinner for the boyfriend. Almost didn't make reservations, but glad we did as the resturant was nearly full by 5.30. Started with oysters, although small were packed with flavor and the house hot sauce was well balance in vinegar and heat. The tinned fish selection was enticing, and we chose the smoked herring. The amount of fried saltines were perfect...I do wish we had ordered bread to soak up the rest of the oil on the tin.And speaking of regretting not getting bread the tuna with Meyer lemons was served over pureed potato and oil that just begs to be locked off the plate.Do not skip the waygu beef cheek! This has to be the bargain of the menu. We expected a small medallion but got what was easily 6-8 oz of the most tender beef...they brought a steak knife...but you don't need it. The spinach and fresh cheese compliments nicely and for us was nostalgic of going to an old school steak house where you would get steak and a side of creamed spinach, but with a modern take.Almost forgot about the octopus. I've never had more tender octopus in my life. You can cut it with a fork. The boyfriend loved the chickpeas, I found them a little too acidic for my taste but thats my taste buds. For dessert we ordered the Basque cheesecake, creamy, light while still rich. We also go a bonus birthday dessert of ricotta doughnuts that we took home and enjoyed as a late night snack.Great atmosphere, causal and upscale. Perfect for dates.

Came for a date night and didn’t regret it! The atmosphere was cozy and sleek with a lot of windows to watch a beautiful sunset out of. We ordered and split several dishes that were all delightful if not a little heavy on the sauce for some. Our server also had so much knowledge about the natural wines being offered and we got a great bottle that we haven’t seen in years. Basque cheese cake and vermouth/amaro to top it off!

Always fun and something new. Impressed by how many creative dishes they put out and knock out of the park. We love the constant pop-ups and do our best to attend as many as we can. What a gem of a restaurant and a great example of how good the Portland food scene is.

The service was awful, any questions we asked the waitress just responded with "that's fire" and walked away without actually describing anything. The food was gross to put it it in a nice way. Don't base your eating experience after what you see on Instagram. Save your money!!

Listen… the instagram videos we all are seeing is a complete lie. The service is horrible. The food is funky “canned seafood” and the staff is RUDE! Avoid at all cost. Btw I never leave reviews I was pretty disappointed to be leaving this.

Chicken tasted funkey. Waitress didn’t put in half order or check on us for half hour. Was told they did not make a drink meanwhile the couple next to us got same drink delivered. Oyster shooters were inedible. Shortly after saw them put oysters from can on empty shell. Gross do not recommend. The semi viral video does not match the menu.

We were the first in there. Ordered oyster shooters, the chicken and waffle, and the griddle. Waitress asking questions only responded with "it's fire and not answer any questions on food. "What's the fill in the blank and what's on it? Response "it's fire"..... in my mind I'm thinking that's not what I asked. The oysters came out, a couple were not edible and mentioned they taste like they are out of a can. Then noticed in the back they were putting oysters from a can on empty shell. Gross. The waffle came out, the chicken has a strange almost soy sauce flavor to it. Also gross The griddle never showed up. Being the only people in there and not getting the order in is pretty much a joke. The entire experience was unfortunate because we saw a video going around online and the food looked amazing, almost everything in the video is not on their menu. I'd steer clear of this place.
