A cute little walk up coffee shop on the fringes of the alphabet district! There is very limited outdoor seating, but this location truly shines for its convenience for those traveling by foot.
Pro tip: I purchased the gluten free pumpkin muffin and was totally blown away by how delicious and perfectly cooked it was. I’ll for sure be going back to see if they have more 😍

Go-to for morning americano. Espresso is always excellent and have tried a few of the pastries with super fun flavor combinations and they were consistently delicious.
There is something special about this little kiosk, waiting on line at the corner quietly or chatting. Shane has great energy and you will be glad you stopped!

This place is super cute and the staff are great. It's a little cart with some seating next to it. Definitely recommend.

After my first visit to Sunny Day Coffee & Pastry, I was left with a delicious latte (with Spella Cafe espresso which is amazing, IYKYK), and a little disappointed that there weren't any pastry options that were to my liking or desire.
This tiny little cart is an absolute beast of efficiency, offering both a few seats and a place for coffee and food to be served - for that alone I have to give props because I absolutely love an efficient use of space! My latte was really delicious (albeit very hot, I may have to get it at a lower temp next time) and their cold brew was excellent, definitely one of the best we've had in Portland.
The shortcomings for this spot for me was their pastries. I found too many of the options available on the day of to be fruit focused or hard (things like biscuits for example). I wish their were more "cake" level of pastries (apple almond cake for example), some bread options like croissants, or even some cookie options to pair with a drink. Especially with a few different bakeries in the area, I just had a hard time justifying getting any of the options that were here. When I go again in the future and if there is something that sticks out to me and hits, I'll be sure to update my review!
In conclusion, Sunny Day is absolutely worth a visit for those in NW and is absolutely going to be a place I will visit in the future. I recommend!

Had a nice latte while walking around town. Easy to buy and get going. Close to Pittock Mansion and it might be a good idea to have a coffee before going up hill for city skyline viewing.

Sunny Day Coffee & Pastry Is a super small little shop that sells a variety of coffee beverages And plenty of pastries. It's a great place to get your morning coffee and a little something to go along with it. The person working there is usually really nice and friendly. Overall, I would recommend checking it out and getting yourself something delicious.
Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options
Dietary restrictions: They offer different types of milk if you have a lactose problem. They also have gluten-free treats.
Parking: Not a place to go in a car more like walking up to it.
Kid-friendliness: This place is kid-friendly. You can get your kids some treats or a nice cold beverages.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not really a lot of wheelchair accessibility

I gotta say, the coffee is a little expensive for the size, not sure why it's about a 1.50 more for less coffee than basically anywhere on the block and I'm always feeling a little unsatisfied when I bring home coffee here, either too thick and sweet of a latte or just not the flavors I'm going for. Personally I don't love it. The syrup makes me head straight for the tooth brush.
It's also never open, but people love the scones, so I've never tried that. I'm sure they are as good as everyone says, not the place I will rely on for my daily cup- personally

This place is is so lovely. It serves coffee from the best roaster in town with care and good cheer, the pastries are consistently delicious and changing (so act fast if you are tempted), and the owner appreciates reproduction jadeite which gives whole aesthetic a vintage flair.I overlooked it for far too long because it was a kiosk, and the sign outside listed a lot of syrups, which I don’t care for.Do not make my mistake.Treat yourself to anything here and be impressed. It’s the perfect way to begin or end a stroll through Northwest.

Amazing yummy place! My boyfriend went here four days in a row so of course I had to go with him to try it. I got the maple latte and it was delicious, and the owner is very nice and friendly and I look forward to supporting this business again in the future!

Cute little coffee stand. If you’re on a tour of pumpkin lattes this fall, I would skip this location. The pumpkin latte just tasted like hot milk, none of those warm spiced notes or pumpkin-y goodness you’d expect, although they do use actual pumpkin purée. It tasted like a scoop of pumpkin in a latte. If that’s your thing, this is the place for you!
