So, sweet tamales are my new obsession and Super Torta is one of the few places in town I’ve been able to find them. It’s somewhat hidden on the menu, too—but they are listed at the end of the tamale options.

The sweet tamales have masa flavored with fruit and pineapple chunks inside. Not overly sweet—more like a pastry than a dessert or cake. Very unique and delightful!

Steak piano was more like beef jerky. Quite dried out then quickly reheated on a grill and thrown into a burrito. If I had been closer I would have returned it and asked for money back.

The southeast Portland Woodstock neighborhood institution.
Solid basic Mexican food. Good service, friendly staff who have been there for as long as I can remember.
My go to place for Mexican comfort food for more than 15 years. The burritos are massive!
