I can’t say enough good things about this place. We’ve been coming here for years and the people are super nice, the food is delicious. Highly recommend. A lot of places the quality has fallen off a bit and you’re not quite getting what you used to - not so with Suphatra Thai.

We had the pad thai, the red curry, and the pad kee mao, all made vegan. The pad thai and curry were good, but the pad kee mao was better. Appreciated that they understood the request to make the dishes vegan and did so.

My mom would love this Thai food: meaning that there is little spice and the food is verrrrrry mild, even though the whole reason for Thai food is the flavor and spice. I don't think the tofu was pressed(?) so each bland bite included a burst of water. I hope this current state of affairs is just a phase, because the people here are nice.

Crab fried rice is my favorite!
Tasty Thai food cart nestled within the charming Barley Pod!
We got basil fried rice, curry puffs and crab wontons (they were sold out of salad rolls but we came shortly before closing). All delicious but the curry puffs definitely stole the show. Yum! ??

I ordered the massaman curry. Potatoes & carrots were undercooked and contained a rotten potato. Portland has plenty of better quality Thai places at the $16 rate.
I eat a lot of Thai food! All over town and all up and down the west coast. The Tom Kha I ordered at Suphatra is one of the best I’ve EVER had. I can’t wait to try the other dishes on the menu the next time I’m at this pod!

Suphatra Thai is a weekly stop for me for the best Thai food in portland! After discovering this food truck two years ago, seriously nothing else compares. My go-to faves are the tofu salad rolls (the rice wrap and veggies are always super fresh), the pad kee mao with chicken (amazing flavor), and literally all the curries. Service is also 10/10 always!

Portions are on the smaller side.
The food here is excellent. I come to the Barley pod quite frequently and this place never disappoints. I typically order the pad thai with chicken but the curry is also quite good. It has always been hot and fresh and the service is friendly.

Had the pad woon sen (stir fried glass noodles), $15 for a blob of glass noodles floating on top of a pile of greasy stir fried vegetables. Edible but hugely disappointing. If this is representative of everything else on the menu, I would never eat here again. So much excellent Thai food in this town to be subjected to this. Might try again if I happen to be in the area and didn’t remember this meal for some reason.

Nice staff. Good food. Good portion sizing. The only thing average about this place is the pricing. This is my go to Thai place.
