Not terrible. Not amazing. That wait staff seems annoyed any time you want to order something even though they don't keep much on the belt. I really don't mind grabbing from the belt--that's half the fun--but there's rarely much there. And the waitress just yelled in my ear at someone across the restaurant while I was writing this.

I've tried many conveyor belt sushi restaurants in the area, and this one is the best by far. Great service and very fresh fish!

This is a nice place for conveyor belt sushi. The location is very clean and I never noticed big gaps as the sushi went by. Prices were a bit higher than I expected, but so were some portion sizes. I enjoyed everything I tried except the saba (mackerel) nigiri which was more bitter than usual. Floor staff were very attentive. We didn't make any special orders. This was our first visit in person, though we have made delivery orders from here a few times and they were good too.

Amazing plates, and lots of entree choices for people that aren't super fond of sushi that you're dragging with you because you love it so much!

Fantastic little conveyor belt sushi place right in Portland! Prices and portions were perfect for a conveyor belt location. I would highly recommend for people coming to visit the city.

We love this place. It's conveyor belt sushi with an uncontrived relaxed atmosphere. Maybe not the best sushi around but better than many and the good beer, good service, good prices, and atmosphere make it a local fave right next to Hollywood theater. Parking isn't awful and the place works well with kids and wheelchair access is ok but it's hard to get one up to the belt.Vegetarian options: There aren't many vegetarian options. Just a few rolls and seaweed salad things. The veggie tempura is good but this isn't a vegetarian place.

Sushi Chiyo is our go-to sushi restaurant. I have been to the Vancouver, WA one and the Sandy Blvd one in Portland, and they are both wonderful. It's conveyer belt style, but you can also place an order and they will make it fresh. I have yet to have anything on their menu you that I do not like. The restaurant is clean, the staff is very friendly and their service is quick and efficient!
