This is my son’s favorite sushi place in Portland area (my wife and I love it too). We’ve been going since they opened and my son’s been eating there since he was 3, he is now 6, so it’s been consistent for years. We lived in the neighborhood most of that time but moved away a year ago. We’ve tried other places since moving but he will always complain that it’s not Sushi Hada so we continue to come back every time we are in the neighborhood for him.

When we first got to the restaurant they sat us down and gave us water. The whole time we were there, we were never asked if we wanted anything else to drink or to order anything off the menu. I had to wave down the one waiter to let us order something off the menu. When we spoke with the waiter, she was very short and rude with us, like she wanted us to leave.

I ate here, I ate conveyor belt and ordered sushi and felt sick to my stomach as soon as I left the restaurant. They have good service but sushi quality is poor.

Great service, great food, and great staff. I come from seattle, and $40 for two people eating sushi and walking away full is impossible. But not here! Went for happy hour and it was an amazing deal.

WARNING: Severe poisoning from this location

Prefacing this review with the context that I eat sushi at least once a month and have never once had stomach issues. I am no stranger to raw fish or belt sushi.

I visited Sushi Hada yesterday for happy hour around 3pm. Pretty much every roll that was on the belt was looking rotten and gnarlier than I’ve ever seen at a sushi place; like they’d been made in the morning and left out all day at room temperature.

Being hungry and trusting the restaurant , I had a few plates of sushi from the belt that I should not have. The sushi tasted old and sour and made me want to instead order directly to the table since there was nothing fresh on the belt.

Only an hour after eating, my partner and I started to get very sick. Fast forward 24 hours later I have severe food poisoning that has made me miss work for the day.

After speaking with the owner, they decided to refund me for the visit, which I very much appreciate. However, how food is handled at this place was very unsanitary and concerning. The owner really needs to take a look at how food is handled here and do something different. Putting this review up as a warning to anyone deciding to eat here in the future.

Everytime I come in here they are very rude or judgmental.

The fish is of excellent quality. The menu has something for everyone and the service is always prompt and friendly. I love this place and I'll be back soon!

Solid sushi on a conveyor belt. Pretty good. Not amazing, but consistently reliable to be good. Cheap plates so you can try a bunch. Just go check it out!

This is no doubt the best track sushi spot in town.
Absolutely take my word for it.

Great conveyor belt sushi that always seems fresh. I'm a sucker for the lunch happy hour (11am to 4pm) where all sushi (or any dish) is $3, and where you could eat a decadent Sushi meal and feel full for under $20. I recommend the salmon nigiri but if you wait patiently you can find the fatty salmon for the same price on the conveyor belt if you look for the red plate. If you like fried stuff another hack is to ask them for the fried calamari which will not appear on the conveyor belt but a waitress can send this order to the kitchen and it's still only $2.95 at lunch. The best sauce for the calamari is the spicy mayo which is in squeeze bottles. I would suggest asking them if they have any other sauces because they are pretty helpful.
