if you want to eat fish, they have fish and definitely don't skimp on the portions. If all you care about is the food tasting good and its reasonably priced and good portions, this is the sushi spot. If you want your food to look fancy and be expensive then i would recommend eating elsewhere. I'm not saying the sushi looks bad, sometimes the rolls are a little sloppy and fall apart. I love unagi and i love dragon rolls. Do NOT order the dragon roll here it makes me sad. Their salmon is really good though. Would recommend the spider roll.

Side note:
4.7 stars on google with over 900 reviews! that would make this one of the best sushi shops in the Portland area. There are some restaurants that have 4.8-5 stars but significantly less reviews.

Very nice people! You can tell the restaurant has been there a while. I was a little concerned when my sushi showed up warm. But I didn't get sick.

Great sushi spot, but I really wish you could be open on Sunday’s! I always find myself craving sushi on Sunday but you’re closed!

This little strip mall restaurant is a find. The sushi is always fresh. The service is lovely. They’ve done the best they can with what they have for atmosphere. My go to place for sushi!

Okay. So I typically try to leave as honest of reviews as I possibly can. I really didn't want to leave a review this time. Because I felt that the service was exceptional, but the restaurant itself was not. I felt the sushi was a bit off temperature. The crab meat didn't taste like it should, And the rest of the feeling in the restaurant felt a little bit dirty, not too much. Which leads me to my next point I was constantly bombarded from the time my drink hit the table by tiny little flies that I kept killing over and over it ruined my entire evening, as I tried my best to hold a smile for the hostess, as I knew she understood that I was probably aggravated by what I was going through? I tried to mention it to her, but I know there was nothing she could do about it, but the flies were absolutely atrocious. Even though the service was great, I probably will not be back. Side note: this was the first time I ever took myself out to eat alone as an adult, and it made me feel like I don't want to do it again haha also.. what's with the shrimp tails?? UPDATE: Got home and felt something in my teeth.. what was it?? One of the flies.. wow. Just.... wow..

I have been going here for years. I have told every sushi lover i know about it. Loved the consistent well flavored food for a reasonable price. Sadly the older couple who owned it have now retired. We tried it tonight and sadly I will not be talking this up. They got some new window art of sushi that isn't even theirs. They raised the priced a noticeable amount. They got fancy dishes. They removed several of the dishes that made it worth the 30 min drive. The worst part is that they are skimping some now. More rice, less filling in rolls. No furikaka in rolls or on pieces. Different more sugery sauce. AND the wrost part is the rice. It used to be well flavored and just the right amount of sticky. Now it tastes like roundabout sushi place rice. Bland and overly sticky and a bit overcooked. I can't blame the cooks as they are the same cooks. It has to be a choice from the new owner. It breaks my heart when stuff like this happens. If your in the area it's still decent, but it's not longer drive across town good.
