Loved this place so much!!! Heartbroken to see it go. Was a reliably delicious, quality sushi joint in an intimate, funky environment. Thank you for all these years! I will miss you.

Sad that they've closed and I hope they find a new home soon. This might have been the best sushi place in Portland.

Sushi Takahashi is excellent on all counts ... perfectly fresh, delicious food, delightful atmosphere, and really cool, nice people running it. Their location will soon be the site of a new apartment building so tommorow night, New Year's Eve, will be the last night in their current location but keep an eye out. He promises they'll open in a new location soon. We're counting on it. I travel a lot and this is one of my favorite restaurants in the whole world.

Closing. Very sad. This has been the most enjoyable little space with an excellent sushi chef and friendly staff.

Best conveyor belt sushi in PDX. Super tasty and great music.

Our go-to neighborhood sushi place. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, affordable. The food is reliable and good, though not extravagant. We appreciate their vegetarian-friendly dishes as well as, of course, the sushi staples and fresh made-to-order options.

Sushi Takahashi 2 has been my family's go to "conveyor belt" style sushi joint for years now. It's convenient to our kids' school, and they love the model train that carries the sushi plates around the bar.

Apparently our favorite local Japanese owned Sushi place will after thirteen years be closing its doors at the end of 2019. Due to re-development of the property. It's already a busy place but this is your chance to try before they close. The owner says that after a short break (everything is handmade by him!) he will start looking for another location. We especially like the Salmon Collar and think it is worth mentioning.

One of the local papers had an article about the Top 10 Conveyor Sushi Joints in Portland (yes, we have MANY) and Sushi Takahashi 2 was listed. Very near our house, so we had to give it a try. We walked in and I fell in love. A tiny, cozy restaurant with a super neighborhood feel. The sushi chef seemed to know everyone. He was blasting jazz and chatting with all of the clientele. The sushi was delivered via train, the best method of sushi delivery. The fish was crazy fresh and oh so good. However, the rolls were soggy. I've never experienced this before. We noticed the avocados in the rolls were black. Then we saw a huge stack of prepped rolls being put onto the train cars. NOT FRESH ROLLS! AHHHHH I want to love this place, but may check the stack of prepped rolls before ordering in next time.

High-quality sushi delivered by model train at a low price. Try the oyster and razor clam tempura!

This place is really one of the best in Portland in my opinion. The place is small and the owners are very nice. My girlfriend and I always opt for take out as the seating is limited. We've probably been here at least once a month if not more since around March. We really enjoying their jalapeño hand roll, salmon nigiri, and unagi. For what you pay for it's totally worth it. Around $25 usually gets us 6-9 depending on what we get and the portions are plentiful. Definitely recommend trying this place out if you're in the mood for some sushi!

Love this place. Really good quality for the price. Can't find anything better for everyday Sushi in Portland thus far. Cool atmosphere, too!

This is the best sushi place in Portland. Do not waste your time going to someplace else. The sushi chef is awesome at what he does and the food is so good. The service is amazing and it's a very pleasant environment. This place is my go-to. You will not be disappointed.
