This was a fantastic date night choice. Very small, cozy space. Definitely recommend making reservations! While we were very happy with our food, the rosti was a little bland and tasted vaguely of potato and bacon. Not much seasoning or other flavors. I think the two dressings would have been great on it, but they snatched them quick before our main dishes arrived and I didn't even think to ask for them until after we left! The service was great. We forgot our leftovers but the server ran it out to us, which was very sweet.

I wish I could rate Swiss Hibiscus more than 5 stars in every category. From the charming and cozy dining room, to the incredibly helpful and friendly staff, to the amazing food from the warm bread to dessert, it was truly an amazing experience. This very quickly moved to my #1 restaurant in PDX!

The food is absolutely delicious and extraordinary. My heritage is European and the food is truly authentic to that of my grandparents. I highly recommend you try and be sure to make reservations as this is a tiny establishment with big flavors.

The restaurant is a nice little gem of Portland. Delicious food with good sized portions. I had the Emince Zurichoise, with rösti, and a starter of Swiss Barley soup. I also had the profiterole with ice cream and chocolate sauce. As someone who lived in Switzerland previously, this brings me back with how good is everything.

The friendly service staff are always attentive with refilling water glasses, taking finished dishes away, and any other requests. My partner is gluten intolerant and they were ready with letting us know about which menu items had gluten. Overall, lovely little place and a gem of Portland.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options, staff are helpful with these

The Swiss Hibiscus is our favorite restaurant in Portland! We live on the west side, and the food is worth the half-hour drive. We've been going for years and have never had anything we didn't eat every bite of. My husband has also been known to lick the plates!

We love the unique weekly specials and the regional swiss cuisine. But the BEST part is the salad dressing! They use an old family recipe, and it's so, so good. You can even buy a bottle to take home.

Dietary restrictions: I know they offer gluten-free options on their menu. I'm not gluten-free, so I'm not familiar with that side of the menu.

As a swiss food obsessed lady, this restaurant is delicious and EVERYTHING I WANTED <3

The fondue was delicious and so worth my lactose intolerance pain (iykyk)

The space is small and intimate, the staff is attentive and kind. Every bite of our food was delicious, and I'm honestly mad i couldn't finish the fondue, lol

We highly recommend Swiss Hibiscus to anyone wanting to have a delicious night out and quality amazing food ❤️
