We live near the French Quarter food cart pod and Taco Express is a cart that we frequent every time we come (and that's often)! The kids love the breakfast burrito, their tacos are delicious, and seriously the fries are the best of anywhere in the Village! Friendly service and convenient hours. Love this place!

Craving street tacos while I was out running errands, I stopped at Taco Express located in The French Quarter food truck pod in Multnomah Village. This cart is open all day so you can fill your craving no matter the time!Ordered two carnitas and two Al Pastor tacos. The meat is stuffed into two corn tortillas and are topped with onion and cilantro, served with lime wedges. Legit. The carnitas were my favorite; the pork both juicy with crispy bits and very flavorful. The Al Pastor was too salty for my taste and didn't have the sweet pineapple that is usually a signature flavor. The red salsa was quite hot, and I like spice, so start out lightly. I prefer the more mild green salsa so that it doesn't overpower. Tacos were $2.50 each and three is more than enough to satisfy.

Coming from LA, it's hard to find a good taco that meets our high standards. Taco Express hit that mark. Excellent Pastor, Asada, Carnitas, even Birria. 5 out of 5 Tortillas

Quality food, reasonably priced, served fast and friendly. I’d come here all the time if i lived in the area. Great stuff.

Had a carnitas burrito that was seasoned perfectly–they're not afraid of salt. Easily the best I've had in Portland. Food cooked with pride and care.

DELICIOUS, fresh, and fast! I got the Asada, carnitas, and el pastor. Staff were cheerful and friendly despite a cold wet P-Town day. This place is a hidden gem in the Multnomah Village area (French Quarter). If you’re looking for delicious authentic tacos then this is your place.

I have been going to this place for years. One of the best street tacos i've ever had, and cheap! My favorite is the al pastor tacos. Always friendly service.

Just moved here from Texas… and still these take the cake for some of the best tacos I’ve ever had! Definitely try the carnitas and Al pastor.
