Takibi is a wonderful restaurant located in the back of Snow Peak, serving Asian cuisine. The restaurant boasts an open kitchen and warm toned lights, creating a cozy atmosphere. The service is excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who provide great options and recommendations. The menu offers a variety of dishes, including vegan options such as falafel and kitsune udon, which are delicious and well-paired. The restaurant also serves a range of non-vegan dishes, including chicken, sea bass, sweet potatoes, lamb, and beef. The atmosphere is upscale and comfortable, with cedar beams, comfortable chairs, and noise-protection panels creating a wonderful dining space.
The food is delicious, and the restaurant has a nice ambiance, but the service can be inconsistent. The chef and general manager work hard to improve the customer experience. The restaurant offers a 7-course omakase menu, which features dishes like sauteed shitake mushrooms, sashimi, yellowtail fish, cedar plank salmon, black cod, and ribeye with dashi rice. The portions may not always be mindful of the number of guests, and additional utensils may be needed for certain dishes. The ramen, while traditional Japanese "Chuka Soba," has a taste that is just okay. Overall, Takibi provides a good dining experience, but customers should be aware of the potential service issues.
