Always a great meal! Food is fresh and delicious. Weather was beautiful and we ate outside. Can't say enough about the restaurant! Sad news is they are closing at the end of October can't afford the rent. So don't miss your chance!
Awesome food and great service. As this is a Taqueria, the tacos are off the hook! There is quite the extensive selection of Tequila as well of you're into it!

Unfortunately, their spin on Mexican food was uninspired and bland. The enchilada sauce actually comes from the cans you see everywhere in the restaurant and is just the least imaginative approach to this cuisine. I asked for medium salsa, they brought me red enchilada sauce (from the can). There were no redeeming characteristics to the food besides the fact that it was technically edible, but it wasn't enjoyable unfortunately.

Taqueria Nueve is my favorite taco spot in Portland. Their tacos are all very traditional and they carry many varieties that other Portland taquerias do not. Their lengua tacos are my favorite and I find myself thinking about them often. The servers are all very accommodating and kind while providing excellent service. Please check this place out, you won’t be disappointed!

Server was kind, flexible and knowledgeable. They have a huge tequila and Mezcal selection. Taco meat was a tad dry, but the lengua was exceptional. The salsas were awesome. We'll definitely be back!
We went to a birthday party here and took 2+ hours from our reservation time to actually get food and then it was cold. We were then charged a $6 dessert fee with no warning to bring our own dessert. No problem if we were warned but even the staff admitted they didn’t tell anyone. Needless to say we won’t be back ?

Tacos are amazing, margaritas are the best I've had in oregon yet, servers are super nice but it takes a super long time and they forgot drinks several times. Definitely get pibil, suadero, lengua ♡♡♡♡
My husband and I usually enjoy dining at Taqueria Nueve except this time the noise level was so extreme we did not enjoy ourselves and almost rushed dinner just to get away from the noise. This was in spite of the great service, the flavorful Brussels sprouts, the fresh tasting seafood ceviche, the protein generous tacos, and the lovely margaritas. Perhaps, 7:30 on a Friday night is not the best time to go.
They serve fresh tacos ? with homemade tortilla bread. Worth the try and recommend this place for vegetarian and meat lovers alike.

This restaurant is one of my favorite in Portland. The food is excellent, the service is excellent, and the drinks are great. Their tacos are the star, but many other dishes, including the mole, are excellent as well. They make the best flan in town. Also, try the Caesar ceviche salad. Special thanks for including non-alcoholic beverages on the menu.

It was ok, the meat was a little overcooked little bit disappointing since we told our family that Taqueria Nueve had the best tacos, but we'll em next time. Don't do that again taqueria nueve
Absolutely fantastic. Ordered a great tequila that I heard about when I was in Mexico - they had it. Not only that, they offered us an organic tequila that rivals the best we’ve had. The tacos were on point. Big fan of the mango salsa. 100% recommend.
will avoiding this place in the future, first time trying spent $120 on 2/7/23. Each individual item was incredibly bland and lacking in flavor from the “carne asada” little to no seasoning, hard to call that asada. The Mexican rice had no flavor , the refried beans tasted like canned beans also no flavor. We ordered tacos only no drinks the only thing that saved these tacos were the toppings of sour cream and green sauce they were decent. Very next day I spent a 4th of the price and the quality was much better at a different place. For the price point and the amount food you get and the quality of the actual food which is most important I can’t justify going back. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Do better.
Parking: Limited but that’s downtown for you.
had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner for two, beautiful window seat, great food and value, friendly service, overall would recommend a wonderful experience. They do get pretty busy but it was totally worth it in my opinion :)
My favorite Mexican food ever! Their homemade habanero sauce! The suadero tacos are my favorite. And shrimp. And fish. You can't go wrong with any dish!
