Not super worth it. This was my final attempt in finding a good Lebanese restaurant for lamb shawarma. Not sure why Portland has these expensive Lebanese restaurants but cannot cook lamb perfectly to be juicy enough. I tried the muhammara and falafel which was decent enough, no complains. The second pita bread was burnt and hardened so it was a disappointment. Overall I wouldn’t go back to spend so much.

I had an abysmal experience here for a few reasons:
1. It took over an hour for my food to come out. My repeated attempts to inquire and resolve whatever issue were met with confusion and denial until they finally figured out that they'd just been straight forgotten. No urgency, no apology, no comping, nothing.
2. Poor seating, even on a non-busy day/time.
3. After poor service, they HOVERED over me while entering the tip.

The food and service at TarBoush is unrivaled. I haven’t had home cooking quite like this before, and the food is well worth the price you pay for it. All of the food is served from the recipe of a sweet woman who holds her standards to an extremely high level. The owners of this restaurant will not serve you anything less than spectacular, and I was so impressed by the portions and delicacy that went into each dish. I will definitely be coming back here!

Elegant dining in a classic Victorian Portland house. Food is some of the best Lebanese available in Portland. The proprietor is a warm and friendly old world gentleman, while his wife cooks up the sumptuous fare

Great food and service in a really lovely setting. The kafta kabob, baba ghanoush and hummus were the best I've ever had. Truly a gem!

This is a special place. The charming owners Sam and his wife took over 2 years ago, and every item on the menu is crafted from scratch with love. We ordered the Makali and Tarboush signature banquet. Enough food for 4 or 5 people. Tradtional attire and decor adorn the inside of this large portland charmer of a house turned restaurant.
Everything was exceptional. Notably, the dolmas are sweet, tangy, and hearty. Baba gannouj tasted fresh roasted - savory yet light and refreshing. The best I've ever had. The beef scewers and touf will linger in my mind like an evening grilling with friends.
I'll be back surely, to bring anyone special and show them a true gem.

One of few sit down restaurants for Lebanese food in this part of US. Worth taking a break from our regular restaurant choices. Great service, wonderful fresh made food, don’t buy your Hummus in store, do it here! Also for all Lamb fans, this is a place to go.
