Amazing food and atmosphere. Treat yourself in this beautiful restaurant, with fabulous owners. A favorite for light or big meals! It would be difficult to go wrong on this menu. Start with a mezza for the table to share, then get a kebab plate (my favorite is the kafta, the chicken is amazing if you want to be extra healthy), and finish with baklava for dessert. Be sure to have an arak (sort of like ouzo).

It was my first time at a Lebanese restaurant. My food was amazing. I had the lamb kabobs. They were cooked perfectly. The rice was amazing. I had never had lamb before. It was such a good experience. I wish I had seen a little bit more of my server. After the food was delivered I felt like we were left to fend for ourselves as after the sun went down our area of the restaurant went dark and we couldn't find our server. We sat there there probably good, 5 or 10 minutes in the dark before our server realized and turned on the lights. Other than that it was a great time.

What a wonderful find. We ordered a hummus starter. Best, silkiest, hummus we have ever had. It arrived with a pita steaming hot from the oven that was the perfect accompaniment to the hummus. The main dishes were generous portions, perfectly cooked, and so flavorful. He atmosphere of the building is great and our table had a lovely view of Hawthorne Street. Service was good and the owner was welcoming. We will be back. One of our party said they could eat that food every day and enjoy it.

The food was excellent quality, and delicious. The atmosphere was nice, being in an old house made for a cozy and pretty setting. With the tip we were in the $50 per person range, but it was a nice evening out.

A local Lebanese woman recommended TarBoush to us since we travel to Portland frequently and we're always looking for good Lebanese food! The recommendation was spot on. TarBoush is located in a historical style house on a street with tons of fun vintage shopping, so we made an afternoon of it. The house has beautiful tall ceilings and lots of character. This would be an excellent place for a date because portions are shareable and they don't rush you at all, so you can leisurely enjoy coffee and dessert.

We got the mezze platter (pictured), which came with fresh hot bread straight out of the oven, and a lamb kabob plate with an additional chicken skewer. The mezze was not only beautiful, but it was probably the best labneh and baba ghanoush I've ever had. The mezze can easily serve 4 or more. The lamb was so tender and well seasoned, and we are from Central Oregon, where lamb is easily available, but I've never had it this good. I highly recommend ordering the lamb! Chicken was also delicious with a nice fresh citrusy marinade.

Service is attentive but not intrusive, and very homey and warm. We ended our meal with Turkish coffee, mint tea, and a baklava with orange blossom water, which was perfect (and such a generous portion that we ended up taking some home). We can't wait to come back.

The food is really good. Especially the hummus, garlic sauce, grape leaves, fresh bread, the meats and everything else was good too.

Food was excellent. Started with salad, hummus and pita. All were terrific and the pita was right out of the oven.

For dinner we ordered the chicken breast and chicken shawarma. Both were very good but the chicken breast was amazing and will order this next time.

Try the rose soda! I came in for an anniversary with my wife and our server gave us flutes of tasty champaign to celebrate! The lamb shank and salmon were both delicious, and even the basmati rice and their special tahini sauce are so simply plated but so delicious! When I saw their list of NA drinks, I was so excited to try rose for the first time! It taste exactly how it should, it's now my new favorite soda flavor. This restaurant ruined all other sodas for me. We ordered a baklava to go, and it is not too sticky, or too sweet! My wife is rather particular about baklava, and she loves theirs! I'm definitely coming back, so I just had to leave a review, even though we forgot to take a picture of our food because we were so excited to eat it.
