I’ve been coming here forever and can’t remember how I even heard of it. My favorite is the Pepper Steak Philly. I’ve moved since living Portland over the last 10 years but still try to make there taking a detour from my route to get the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Their bread is awesome and each bite is perfection. It’s simple and tasty and tickles the taste buds. I hope they are around for the next 40 years.

Not celiac safe, not even safe if you're gluten sensitive. Watched them accidentally peel meat along with loads of gluten from a regular bun and stick it on a GF bun. Not worth it, as good as the place is.

Taste tickler is always worth it for the quality subs and support for a local business.and to highlight the service, we order two cookies and when one was out, they replaced it with THREE COOKIES, and two choco and moon pies. So kind

I have been coming to this place off and on ever since 2012. A couple coworkers at the time showed me and I was addicted ever since. Love their subs, especially the spicy chicken teriyaki and spicy bulgogi. Awesome bento and great salads too. I could eat anything from here. Everyone I've taken here has enjoyed it. So if you've never been, definitely worth a try!

For this place to have any less than five stars is an absolute crime, my favorite sandwich shop in portland by far. Food is always consistently 10/10, classic sandwiches with generous portions and reasonable prices. I always recommend them to out of towners or anyone really, I feel like this place is such a hidden gem and not enough people know about it! I used to work in the neighborhood and whenever my work bestie and I were having a particularly rough day, we’d always make a pact to order taste tickler for lunch as the ultimate pick me up. Today I went there with my partner and the employee warned us it would be about a 20 minute wait as we arrived at dinner rush, but we weren’t sweating it! TT is always worth the wait so we were happy to. We got our food within that time frame but the cashier insisted on giving us two free cookies as an apology for the wait! So not only is the food impeccable, but the service is too. I’ll be a lifelong customer for sure. If you’re considering trying this place, it is an absolute MUST
