Highly recommend visiting Colleen at Teutonic. We enjoyed the wines and her company. She was very knowledgeable about the wine selections and gave us recommendations for things we could do in Portland during our stay.

I have such love for this unique producer in what is often a sea uninspiring, mass produced wine. The wines have a “soul” and pair nicely with a variety of things on the dinner table. The initial inspiration may have been Riesling, but the rest of the portfolio is certainly with checking out. Interesting wines that are often textural marvels. And the people behind the wine are just as cool.

As someone who has worked on the Oregon wine community and has since departed, whenever I miss home, I reach for Teutonic. The hospitality that you receive with Olga and Barnaby is unmatched- I tell everyone visiting Portland to check out their tasting room. Their mushroom Riesling, both the rose and the og are so fun. I am always biased towards a Pinot meunier, especially when talking about what other grapes Oregon grows fantastically. Their seafoam white Pinot is a crowd pleasure and a fun entry convo for those who want to learn about how white, orange, rose, and red wines are made. These are creative and kind individuals who work incredibly hard to be exceptionally mindful of who they work with, and what they stand for.

Absolutely one of the most underrated gems in the entire west Coast wine regions--if your palate can handle them! These winemakers craft the cleanest, most singing, most austere styles of daringly obscure yet classic Alpine style of wines that true acid heads can appreciate. Not only do the single vineyards and restrained winemaking sing, the craft comes through in ways that excite a tired wine professional like myself and anyone like me who want a different yet expert experience from Willamette. If you have the delayed gratification to age these wines, you'll be rewarded with an experience you usually only get to live in the cellars of an Alsatian connoisseur. If you have a taste for slick oak, sugar, booze, and snobbery unbefitting of the current innovative West Coast wine climate, then go visit some cellars in Napa--cuz these guys KNOW GOOD OREGON WINE! I could and have written paragraphs of where these reds and whites have taken my palate.

Really disappointed by the quality of these wines. The red wines have the weight and structure of a rosé, the white wines are almost good. Borderline good if you’ve never had real wine before.

Teutonic Wine Company is a cozy and welcoming spot. The winemaker and tasting room staff were fantastic — knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to chat about the wines. The pours were excellent, and the atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. Highly recommend stopping by.

Colleen was very informative on how the wines are made and where they get the grapes.

Our first trip to Oregon started with a tasting at Teutonic. It blew us away. Truly. Set a high bar for every other winery we visited. We found each wine we sampled to be unique, full of story, and delicious. What they are doing at Teutonic is incredible. To top things off, our tasting was lead by Colleen who designs most of their labels. She was so engaging, easy to be with, and without agenda. We felt we were hanging out with a friend and left knowing we had made one. We think Teutonic is a MUST. Put it on your list!

I really enjoyed my experience at Teutonic! Colleen was so knowledgeable about all things wine, and did a great job explaining each wine to us in a way that made sense and gave us a greater appreciation for the winemaking process. The wines were delicious and gave us so much to talk about! Highly recommend the Riesling.

Olga, the owner was such a great host. She gave us all the info about the wine, poured three wines at a time and left the bottles at the table so we could remember what each one was. The wine labels are a work of art and the wine is delicious. The tasting room is super cute and in the city which is nice when you want a quick drive and yummy wine. None of the wine is crazy expensive and everything we had was super good. We even got a bonus pour of a sparkling and loved it, bought 2 bottles of that, the Merlot and the 2022 Pinot Noir, which waived our tasting fee. The cheese plate was a nice added bonus to the tasting. Highly recommend checking out this Winery and tasting room in Portland.
