Really great flavors. I had the red curry fried rice and my friend had massaman curry. Both excellent. We had medium spice which I found to be a little spicy but just the right amount of heat.

Just had this place for the first time last night and it was awesome. We had the pad thai, pad see ew, fried rice, red curry, and chicken wings. It was all great. The wings were especially good. The curry was a little spicy for the kids, but I loved it. I am glad this place is in the neighborhood, and I'll definitely be going back. I loved the veggies they added to all the dishes.

Thai Avenue is so good!! While they offer all the classic Thai dishes you'd expect, their curries and appetizers are standout choices. But let me tell you about their Khao Soi – this dish that will change your (culinary) life. Seriously, it's one of the best Thai dishes I've ever tasted. It was so good that I forgot to take a photo! ?We've ordered delivery from Thai Avenue a few times before, but dining in was a great experience because we got to meet the owner, Viyada. We got to chat with her a little and learning about her journey, including the closure of her previous establishment in NW Portland due to COVID and starting fresh, post COVID lockdowns, in SE Portland, was so inspiring. Thai Avenue has only been open for about 7 months, and it's baffling to me that they're not constantly packed. Their menu is exceptional!! Itsy disheartening to think that such a gem is seemingly going unnoticed in Portland. So that's why I had to write this review—Viyada's passion for food and the exceptional flavors she brings to the table deserve all the recognition and support from the PDX community! I hope to see Thai Avenue flourishing in Foster Powell for many years to come ❤️Vegetarian options: Tofu is available as a non meat option for the curries and other dishesParking: Two adjacent parking lots or park in the nearby neighborhood

OMG BESTIE BOO’S, THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD LIKE COME RIGHT NOW IVE BEEN TO THAI AVE A FEW TIMES NOW AND IM IN LOVE VERY SIGMA ?✨? a more proper review; I recommend this Thai restaurant it’s very nice and kid friendly, the fried rice, wonton soup, pad Thai, their curry’s, and Thai tea. I highly recommend this Thai restaurant if you are looking for good Thai food, costumer service, and my little sister who is food picky and she approves as well so I would consider this kid friendly overall 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I arrived at Thai Avenue to order take out. After I ordered, it took approximately 20 minutes, so I was able to examine the restaurant. It was decorated nicely. I sat at the bar. The server was neither friendly or unfriendly. I got red curry, which was watery and fairly flavorless. It was adequate at best. My friend had me buy him Yellow Jungle Fried Rice and Khao Soi. The Yellow Jungle Fried Rice wasn't all that Yellow, but it had excellent flavor. The Khao Soi had a great flavor and the liquid portion of the Khao Soi was much better than my Red Curry. The cost was $45.50 for the two of us. Street parking was available.Vegetarian options: Their Tofu is OK.

I am a bit of a Thai food snob. In the many years I have lived in Portland, I have been consistently disappointed with the Thai food spots around town. Thai Avenue opened up and so I went in for a late lunch. This is some of the best Thai food I have ever had. Fresh and very good. The owner has a great story. Yum.

We had an outstanding experience on our first visit. The food was great and the service even better. Look for the "TA" sign, as the signage doesn't clearly show that this is a restaurant. Strongly recommended for good, affordable Thai food.

These folks need to be appreciated! They use gluten-free soy sauce in their dishes so many are safe for GF needs unless other gluten ingredients are on the dish. My wheat sensitive (not celiac) Mama looooved having great authentic Esan style Thai food without needing to worry about a gluten reaction. Our Pad See Ew was perfect with that delightful wok char and the green curry was deliciously spiced and complex. The pad Thai was a massive portion and the shrimp was perfectly tender with a great balance of sweet, savory and tangy. The online ordering system works great and the owners are super sweet. You can customize almost every dish with proteins, spice level, and sometimes more. White rice is even included in the price of curries for free!We were shocked to see the place completely empty on a Saturday evening when the food was so incredible. They're pretty new and I'd really love to see them thrive!Dietary restrictions: Good for those with wheat sensitivity!
