Incredibly bland. They added red pepper for heat, but severely lacked in actual spices

Good food cart. I went at lunch , Good quality and value. I can only speak to the Pad Thai. - generous size and tasted very fresh, kinda light. less sauce than other places which maybe also makes in mouth taste lighter. Also noticed that less Tamarind flavor than i’m used to at other Thai places. Thats ok just different.
I would go back
Pad Thai was $14 plus tip
Also lots of other options in this pod.

I ordered the Pad Kee Mao. It was very bland and the noodles were soggy.

At their food cart in the Hawthorne Asylum, my husband ordered spicy chicken pad thai. We received a steamed vegetable and chicken dish on white rice. When he went to let the woman working know she provided the wrong dish, she immediately blamed my husband with hostility! I had been craving pad thai for days and befuddled by her rudeness, he paid for another order. When the correct food came, it had no spice whatsoever. I like my mouth to burn for several minutes after my meal. This was as spicy as chicken noodle soup. When he asked for some red pepper flakes to add, she just pointed at her Sriracha! My husband worked in food service for over a dozen years and he was shocked at the treatment he received. There are lots of thai places in town. Don't bother with this one.

Are you looking at google reviews in the rain wondering if you should order Thai Thantawan? Yes, you should!

I got the Tom Kha and it was the perfect choice for a rainy afternoon. It’s a big portion and flavourful. Friendly service and a cool spot to have lunch!

I’m so glad I stopped by, but wish it wasn’t on my last night in town. The yellow curry was some of the best I’ve ever had. Don’t hesitate to try! I’ll be dreaming of it!

Enjoyed a pad thai with extra eggplant. The medium spicy was a true medium spicy. The Thai green tea was a first for me- sweet and mild in flavor, it was fun to try.

Loved their pad kee mao — flavorful, good color on the noodles, fresh ingredients. The egg rolls were okay — wished they had a bit more flavor and weren’t so pasty inside. Will be coming back!

Had the gyoza, pad see ew and Tom kha. All of it was awful. Took a single bite of gyoza and it was bad go the point of gagging. My friend who had the same also did not eat more than a bite.
