If you read Russell Z.'s review of this joint, that right there mirrors my own experience (only I live closer). The fried tofu is incredible, and the price is incredibly reasonable. I would like to try some of the other tofus, but I need to figure out what days are the best (that lemongrass tofu I'm hearing about in the reviews sounds delightful). I also like the funky graffiti on the side of the building that is clearly not a mural they commissioned, but is frickin' amazing. I love this place. I use this tofu for a myriad of recipes, but I've got a photo of a some tofu with a reduced balsamic vinaigrette sauce, sun dried tomatoes, and fresh garden basil. It is most excellent.

Nice service, however this location takes cash only. We need receipt for business tax deduction. Please accept credit card!

Cooked tofu.....I drove 20 miles for this delish tofu. Pudding is always decadent and consistently decadent. Not able to post a pic since we already started eating them...... while driving. Such goodness.

Delicious Tofu in this local home made tofu factory.

Nice Tofu shop with fresh products: fresh/white, fried, onion, lemongrass, and other specialties. There’ never a line, has a self-serve bar area too pre-pandemic. And I like that when you buy a lot of tofu here they don’t waste a ton of packaging. Also it’s cheap and the people are really friendly. Also don’t mind the boxes and shabby decorations n such. That’s just how a small family business is run and I don’t deduct points for that because I already know how hard it is to run a small food business. Also I spoke to the owner and best time to go is 10AM - 5PM, despite what google says.

I've been here twice so far. Don't expect a lavish interior. This is not that kind of place. Don't expect great service here either. You are here if you want good tofu products. That's all that matters. Also bring cash because the credit card machine is always conveniently broken. There is no dine-in. Honestly I'm confused to why Google Maps lists this place as a restaurant (at the time I wrote this review). It's definitely not a restaurant. It's a shop.Prices are cheap because it's cash-only -- err I mean the credit card machine is always down.

I can no longer have supermarket tofu thanks to this place!!!! Alright, so!-- The credit card machines are always broken here. Damn VISA and their crappy equipment, I guess I just have to support my local business with cash, god forbid, the business doesn't lose a percentage of profits paying VISA or whoever their credit card provider is. The front door is always broken. I can barely understand the cashier. This feels like home. Too good to be true? Look, on a whim, someone in a cooking community I'm a part of recommended Thanh Son Tofu, I decided to come here on Memorial Day. Yes, a holiday! I had no frigging clue if it was going to be open or not, but whatever -- I make the drive from Camas WA and I show up in anticipation. The doors were wide open! Excitedly I ran inside. No air conditioning. None of the overhead lights are on. It's hot as F*** inside. The open buffet trays where presumably tofu and other merchandise would be is straight up empty. There is no cashier present. Absent-mindedly I walked around the small store and found the refrigerator full of... Uh, not sure. They were fried tofu looking things with bits of spice in them. I'm going to throw a shot in the dark here and say it was lemongrass tofu, but I could be totally wrong. Anyway, I grabbed a plastic bag and loaded up. Then the cashier came out. I asked the cashier if they had soft tofu. The cashier responded in something-- I didn't understand. But I kinda just tried to go with the flow and said, "Yes".. Then I got, "how many?" so I responded, "uhhhhhh one". Few minutes later, "OK it's $6.79" I hand the credit card over. "Oh, our credit card machine is down," the cashier says. "Oh no, I don't have any cash!" I respond, truthfully. "Walgreens, across street, have ATM," the cashier responds. Excitedly, I run across the street, walk inside the Walgreens, find the ATM, withdraw some cash, pay $3.25 or whatever in service fee(s), then run back to Thanh Son like a toddler running into a candy store for the first time in their life. Money was exchanged, I received heavy bag that must've weighed over a pound (I verified later the fresh tofu alone was more than 1 pound, very impressive, pics attached) Best 10 miles ever driven just to get fresh tofu. I sped over the speed limit to get home. I've never been this excited for tofu before. And lemme tell you, the dish that resulted from this very fresh tofu was magnificently delicious too. Picture also attached. My dudes, this tofu tastes like... like every other tofu I've ever had in my life was a f****** lie. Life is forever different. I can no longer have supermarket tofu. I am not joking. TLDR - sketchy looking place, open on a holiday, cash only errrrrr I mean faulty credit card machine, life changing tofu taught me supermarket tofu is a lie-- 5 out of 5 would return. Bring cash. In case the credit card machine is down again.

Great place, outside is intimidating but the inside is great. Super welcoming and kind, had per pound options and introduced us to soybean pudding! I'd recommend getting tofu from here!

I love the tofu and the other random treats they randomly seem to have, but it can take some work to get them. I think they mainly sell to restaurants, so the storefront part of their business seems like an afterthought. They're closed half the time they're supposed to be open, they're often out of all types of tofu but one or two, and the store is more like a storage area. If you can get past all this, and find a time when they're open, they make really incredible tofu. It's worth it.

The building looks very scary. Tofu tastes really good and fresh. Extremely cheap and good service.

Stopped by today. The lady there was super rude. I asked her why there's no expiration date on the items, she was mad at me and answered that they don't have expiration date on their food. Found out later there was ants in my food that just bought from them. Guessing this place is out of business soon.
