When it was Than Thao it had the best Chinese food you'll find on the west coast, but sadly it is no longer the truth. It's now called Bamboo.... Something. Menu is no longer the same, food doesn't taste same either since the menu is different. Been coming here for 20years,but will not be returning until their menu does.

Been coming here for a couple decades and am never disappointed. I love this place.. Super fresh, generous portions, excellent and flavorful dishes. To-go orders are huge, a great SE Portland thai food restaurant!

I've been a customer for the past 11 years. They maintained their good dishes and menus. They have a very sweet team and fair enough parking space. Most importantly they have a special coconut padthai that is very good.

This restaurant has new ownership since the last time I ate there. Went today for lunch and it wil be my last time there. They used to have the best peanut sauce in the world, but now its a gross dark brown sauce. I dont know where the old owners went, but I sure miss them. Will not go back again.

Love this place! I especially enjoy the Special Chow Mein. Having their own parking spaces on Hawthorne is definite plus too.

Good food. Good service. Long established SE Portland Thai restaurant.

We were looking for Short Around which is across the street and somehow ended up here. I'm not sure how this place is even open, being in that neighborhood and serving such sub par food. The tea was good at least, but the service, food and decor are in serious need of an upgrade. I didn't think there was any bad Asian food in Portland until I ate here.

This is our favorite restaurant, it's not the prettiest but it the best tasting Thai food. So far everything we tasted was good but our favorite is the sesame beef, wonton soup and the salt & pepper squid. Also their orange juice is freshly squeezed, yum.

This was an unexpected delight! It looks totally unassuming from the outside and is an odd location way up on Hawthorne, but man, the food is bomb. I also love that I can get a Thai beef salad and Pho from the same place, and both are delicious. My husband loves the wonton soup and Thai noodle dishes. Highly recommend!!

First time and last time. Food was not good. Plus I asked for hot chili oil and they said they limit 1 per person and will charge if needed more. Never have I ever heard of that. Ordered spicy garlic chicken wings and it tasted like orange chicken. Also ordered pad ke maw, it was an okay taste. Never coming back.

Pros: Fair portion size. Generally fair pricing, especially at lunch (M-F). Cons: Directions not followed (make food spicy,etc.). Soupy curries placed in thin paper containers to go (entrees ruined). Older gentleman doesn't offer very kind service. Being overcharged takeout may happen (last time was $1 over). Conclusion: Not terrible, not great, but nothing really ever stands out. Common sense mistakes happen with takeout, service is hit-and-miss. Keeping expectations in check, you might fine in a pinch.
