Hands down the absolute best cheesesteak!!!! Simple, just meat and cheese and added a little bbq sauce and ate the entire thing. I got the small and was shocked at how big it was, and still ate it all. Wanted to stop but couldn’t! The price is on point too! Highly recommend!!!

I ordered a large cheesesteak on uber eats, and it was actually LARGE. A delicious soft roll overflowing with delicious meaty filling. I’m glad I ate it at home because I don’t know how I would have managed it in public. It was really delicious and an incredible value.

This is actually a 4.8 rating. Here's the deal, it's a really tasty sandwich. The service was first-rate and had a wonderful conversation with the owner (I think he was anyway), and the atmosphere? Itz's a food truck.... rock on! They use white American, which is legit and the fried onions, mushrooms, and peppers melded nicely with the well seasoned and cooked steak. The only beef (haha) I have is with the roll. It he can get a roll that is a little closer in the crusty outside, chewy inside texture that Philly rolls are known for, this would be a slam dunk. That said, if I ever come back to Portland again, I will definitely partake again. Keep up the great work at The Block!

Worth it!!
Possibly the best Philly cheesesteak in town. Grilled green and red peppers, onions, mushrooms, delicious beef and classic cheese sauce. Bread was perfect too.
Got the large, and definitely got my moneys worth- no way I was going to be able to make the same sandwich at home for less.

My brother and I visit this spot every chance we get in Portland. Great cheese steak my favorite in the area
I don't know the names of people responsible for the sandwich I experienced. I came in like a cartoon led by smell. Lifted up and settled graciously into the arms of the best Philly in downtown. Over ordered the first time and led correctly the second. I think the guy wears a headband so he can hand it off in case your mind explodes. Not just from food, but honestly gotta love people that talk sports, call out B'lS of regulars and cook a mean paper soaking bag of delicious. I've been going to that cart for over a decade. Only thing that changed was the name.

I initially gave this place a 5 stars review but they advertised on Google they were open at 11am on weekends and it turns out after walking there they weren't open on weekends I have to give them 1 star. I hate how these food carts falsely advertise their business and receive no repercussions. Be honest, false advertising is an offense that anyone can sue for just ask Dollar Tree.

Best Reuben in Portland, and we've tried many places to compare. Also worth the price. 5 stars well earned and easily deserved.

Ranked #1 Philly cheesesteak by VanPort Insider. The Block is a food truck in Pioneer Square that has only two things to eat on their menu and they're both sandwiches: A Reuben and Philly Cheesesteak. The topping options are onions, peppers, mushrooms and cheese. With a menu like that you'd better be great or you won't last long. This truck has been around since 1997 so they've got it right. INSIDER TIP: While you're there, experience the Echo Chamber. It’s a specific point in the square on the Northwest corner that looks like a small amphitheater where the architecture creates a natural reverb or echo effect, making sounds like voices or claps resonate in an interesting way. It never fails to blow people's minds. Check out my profile for more great eateries and craft cocktail bars. -VanPort Insider

Today, July 4th they were offering The All American Burger. 1/3 lb grass fed beef with lettuce, pickles and 1000 island dressing ok n a brioche bun. Best burger I've had since I've been in Portland, 13 years, and I am serious about good burgers. I will be back for a Philly since they don't normally do burgers. The people were so nice and the burger HUGE! YOU HAVE GOT TO GO HERE!!!!

Good luck finding a spot to park. I couldn’t even eat here because there is literally no parking for blocks around.

One of the best Philly cheesesteaks I’ve had locally, but it was a bit salty. I wouldn’t mind giving it another try because we all make mistakes. Other than the intensity of the salt the more I ate it, I would have given 5 stars. Customer service was awesome and fast! Truck is located in a nice area to sit and relax if you wish to eat upon receiving.
