I really like this place just wish it didn't cost so much. I stop to go to a bar but generally don't eat here. The food isn't bad just spendy.
Fun bar with great food, games and a unique atmosphere.

This is my favorite McMenamin's location. It's such a cool space. I came for lunch before flying out of Portland and the food came pretty quickly. I ordered a half sandwich and was a decent quantity of good food for a fair price. The service was polite.
Fun spot for a drink! An old boiler house converted to a bar. Happy hour is everyday from 3-6 PM. There’s a good bit of seating and a pool table upstairs. We went on a Saturday afternoon right after a movie which is just down the hall. A perfect date spot.
-1 star because that's stupid ass pinball machine has the most sensitive tilt I have experienced in 20 years... And they don't even care, because for 3 games/$2 why should they care?
My food & drink was delicious. Everyone I spoke to was super nice. I love the Kennedy School and I will be back. But it took me 2.5 hours to get food. They seemed severely understaffed in the kitchen and the server team. The lines to order were long too. Seemed like more of a management issue to me. I’ll update my star rating if things improve next time I’m back.

Let’s start with the positives! This bar was once actually the boiler room of the huge former school on the floors above; there’s a pool table and funky and fun decor. Now for the meal: an IPA was the highlight. Then a well-done burger though no one had asked how we wanted it cooked; a gluten free plain pizza that arrived lukewarm on top though on an extremely hot pizza pan and really barely edible. I was told the only Pinot Noir was a McMenamin’s label, and I should have had an IPA instead. It can’t possibly be in the customer’s interest to serve only the house brand of something like wine, it smacks of corporate greed. I left most of mine in the glass.
Oh and the water and the beer came in single use plastic glasses. Really?
The hotel is weird and fun; if I came again I would eat out.

As all McMenamins, the atmosphere is the main draw.
This place feels like the setting for a Northwest steampunk movie.
