The Civic Taproom and Bottle Shop

The perfect spot to meet and drink with friends before a Timbers or Thorns match. Great, friendly service and excellent cider and beer menu. The soccer vibe is strong.

I came for one beer and left with three new friends, a minor existential crisis, and a T-shirt I don’t remember buying. Civic Taproom is like Cheers, if Cheers had 20+ rotating taps and everyone was slightly more hipster.

The bartender had the beard of a lumberjack and the pour skills of a Michelin-star sommelier. I asked for something “hoppy but emotionally supportive,” and he nailed it. The IPA hugged my soul while whispering, “You’re doing your best.”

Also, shoutout to the bathrooms for being cleaner than my apartment. 10/10 would hide from my responsibilities here again.

A+ service, the staff are welcoming and a pleasure to chat with. Spencer is a wizard and Julia is fantastic, and I will certainly be giving the food a try next time I come in

The draft selection is sorta limited so be sure to peruse the bottles and cans. Concrete, steel, and glass are the environs. No food, so I recommend the egg puff waffle from 22 Below and the microgreens salad from The Soop.

Great selection of craft beer and ciders both on tap and in the fridge! Really friendly staff and a great location if youre heading to Providence Park!

Great place for game day. Pretty sure bartender, Jordan, I think? Gets high on his own supply... Entertaining enough, but the service is terrible. Its Portland, though, so I guess thats expected? Just go to one of the dive bars if you've come all this way. This place is empty unless there is a game. That tells you something about what the locals think.

Drunk old lady cut us in line, turns out she works there? Or maybe she's the owner? Idk but she needs to either be helpful or leave cuz you have one guy shucking 1000 oysters while shes makin yal look bad.
