We have been wanting to stop by this store for awhile and finally stopped in last night. We love the idea of supporting a business like this, but unfortunately, it will be the one and only time that we shop here! The lady working was quite unpleasant. When you come into a store like this- a nice, friendly hello is always appreciated, especially since we acted friendly and said hello. Instead she kept her scowl and stared at us as we looked around. We grabbed a drink and at check out, she rudely told us that the minimum card purchase was $3. Totally understand this, but why not just say it nicely without attitude? Then they have a tip option 😅 In reading reviews, it looks like this is a common occurrence.

Was just mocked for not understanding I couldn't pay yet because I hadn't identified what level of tip I was providing. I bought a candy and beverage.
The attitude was not appreciated, nor was the tip prompt for a corner store.

My husband and I are young professionals who own a home in the neighborhood. I’ve gone to this store over the years since I thought it was a cool concept to have a local store in the neighborhood. I’ve always noticed that the people working here are not very friendly. Which I’ve found surprising since it seems like people that live in walking distance of the store would be your main customers. I went into the store today after going for a walk and again was treated pretty rudely from the person working. I’m no longer going to give this place my business.
It seems like parents of younger children and retired married couples shop here the most. They must treat those customers better than how I’ve been treated otherwise I don’t know how this place is still in business.

You can't use the microwave here to warm up your homecoocked lunch. I asked why and heard in response "because my boss says no eating outside food" I sit in the truck and eat cold food. Thank you!

I love this place, and the staff is hilarious. However, it's a bit... odd. I don't think they know what their own audience is supposed to be. The majority of it is candy, but they also have... Beer? And coffee? And apparently tobacco? And all this is placed right by an elementary school. I- I love the place, but it's just so random.
Edit: There is no tobacco products, I thought there may have been because of the sign at the front, but the owner confirmed there wasn't. Love the customer service!
