We used Local Grind for catering our work party this week and I am beyond thrilled with both the food and customer service from Local Grind!Larry was fantastic to work with, and provided more than enough food for 50 people, as well as signage, utensils, plates, sauces, etc. He really thought of every little detail and had it all ready for me to pick up. His thoughtfulness and concern made it easy to feed a large crowd at our party, and took all the stress out of the process. Also, the food was absolutely delicious. We had Teriyaki Chicken, Kalua Pork, Tofu, Rice, Yakisoba noodles, Macaroni salad and green salad. Each of us took seconds (and even thirds) and there was still food left over (which we'll happily be eating for lunch tomorrow!) There was something for everyone and we were all very happy with the quality and taste of the food.If you are having a party or meeting, I can't recommend Local Grind highly enough. We were so impressed, and will definitely be ordering from them again for our next event. Thank you Larry!!!

This place seems to be shut down to customers for the summer of 2023. There's no dining, seating or entrance. I'm happy to remove this review if someone lets me know that they're open again, but for now I suggest not trying to eat here because it's catering only. Their website is updated, just not Google.
My table wobbled and it spilt my coffee, other than that.. was best coffee I had In a long time. Homemade syrup was worth

I have loved this place since I went to PSU, and it is still something I think and crave when I think of Hawaiian food from here in Oregon. Best place to eat!!
Ordered the grilled spicy chicken bento with honey garlic sauce and omg crack in every bite sooo delish ?
Amazing catering experience. Super great Hawaiian cuisine and the delivery & set up(customer service) was exceptional. BTW, the sauces are super good! If your looking to host a party, don’t miss out on what the Local Grind has to offer.
Extremely discourteous drivers/delivery personal
Best Hawaiian food in Portland. Really cool place if your looking for real Hawaiian food. Owner is super friendly. Hands down best place!!
Big fan of this place , the food is absolutely amazing, great for any occasion. If you choose to come here for a meal, you will not regret it.Owner Larry is incredible as well, big shout out to the guy for being a real class act!
I got the Spicy Korean Chicken Yakisoba dish. It was amazing! Not very spicy but very flavorful. My only critique is $1 for a Hawaiian roll. It’s just a Kings Hawaiian roll. I was hoping for something handmade. Either way, super friendly crew and delicious food.

This is the best hawaiian food in the area. Customer service is amazing and prices are spot on. Worth a drive to get. Mac salad is also a must.
Just as good as I remember from my college days at PSU. Happy to see these guys are still around. I'm going to come by more often, my wife is going to be sooooo jealous!
The Teriyaki Chicken and Mac Salad cured my depression and restored my faith in humanity.
We had The Local Grind cater our wedding and I worked specifically with Robert. He was amazing, kind, and on top of everything. Not to mention, tons of our guests mentioned how amazing the food was! We didn’t even do a tasting beforehand (a bold move on our part) and we were blown away.
