For being in a kind of odd place in Portland, I believe this is probably one of the better Mexican style restaurants. I’ve been to in a long time. The food was excellent. Quantity was good. The service again excellent. I didn’t post pictures because there seems to be a lot already.

Matador is such a fun restaurant with good vibes and great service! I’ve been a handful of times and love that they offer vegan meat substitutes with such good flavor. Jahayra has been my server every time I’ve been and she’s outstanding. She always goes above and beyond and gives me the best experience. Since I’m vegan, she is always very careful to let me know what my options are. I’ll be back!

Would just like to personally shout out Jahayra. She is one of the best servers I’ve ever had. She’s a perfect balance of sassy and sweet. Call her “The Matador Sour Patch Kid.” She really pops her… you know what.

I come to this matador very often and I continuously run into issues with a specific server named Yahida. She always has a snobby attitude and is rude like she doesn’t like her job. If you come to this location definitely don’t have her as a server. When I say bad experience bad. We have to do better matador!
