Very disappointed- the cocktails were fine- not special. My entree of scallops arrived cold- and undercooked. After requesting a re-heat, it came back with the mustard greens overdone, the sweet potato puree and lemon caper sauce all mixed….(ugh) snd somehow the scallops were still lukewarm and had NO sear. Bread pudding very ordinary.
Lovely space, but seriously lacking.

Ordered the Steak Frites and a house salad.

Steak was cooked properly, but was EXTREMELY tough. In addition, I'm not sure if there is a shortage or something, but you would have thought I ordered it salt free.

Salad was decent, but was only some greens, a few sliced radishes, alittle crumbled blue cheese (or equivalent), cucumber and dried tomatoes (best part of the entire meal).

We were going to an event at the Schnitz and decided to come in here for dinner first. Great decision!

We were on the restaurant side as we weren't drinking. The decor is modern and classy. Casual or formal fits here.

We started with the smoked salmon dip. The chips are homemade and really tasty. The dip was addicting. Wasn't sure at first, but we all really liked it.

Our friends had the salmon and smoked chicken - both loved their meals.

My wife ordered their house pasta. It is slightly spicy with lamb meatballs. Amazing! Really good!

I decided to try their burger. OMG! This is literally a perfect burger. I added bacon, which was great. (I'm not sure it was needed, but it was good.) High-quality meat, great cheese, great sauce, and I think homemade pickles. Just a phenomenal burger!

We'll come back as everything was good- but I can't wait to get another burger here!

I'm nostalgic for the old Heathman bar, as I spent a decent amount of my 20s and 30s hanging out there with the fashionable crowd. I had a rosé (sweet) with parmesan rosemary fries. Both were delivered relatively quickly and at the correct temperature.

It's different. It's fernier. It's okay.

Presentation of dishes are beautiful & food is delicious. Service was great. If I had to give a suggestion it would be to clarify, in the description, what meat/protein is served with the carrot tartare. I thought it was a vegetarian appetizer, so I was a little disappointed since I'm a vegetarian.

I like the remodeled restaurant layout. It's been years since our last visit. Parking was tough near the restaurant, but it always is downtown. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu. The menu was limited but tasty. We both had Heathman burger. it was cooked perfectly. The grated Parmesan on the fries was a nice touch. They were very accommodating for our show schedule.

Went before a show at the Newmark...ordered the pre-set theater menu and it was just OK. Service was atrocious...our server kept apologizing throughout as she continued to literally take 15-20 minutes in between courses. Several other staff helped serve and bus our table. She got our drink order wrong but we figured it would take too long to correct. I love the atmosphere and convenience of the location but will think twice about coming back.

Our server was great, very attentive, and the food was very good. It seemed, perhaps, a little on the expensive side but it was delicious. It may have been an off night because my husband could only order beers by the can because their tap was out of service and it was really quite warm in the restaurant, causing us to sweat through dinner before our planned activity. Several other patrons and I were fanning ourselves with the dessert menu or handheld fans. When the beer tap is back online and the climate control is figured out, this is till a great place for dinner before an event!

What a pleasant surprise, the bar was very nice. We stopped by for their $8 burger week. The burger was very good I heard. As I don’t eat meat, they have other none meat involved dishes and I enjoyed it very much. The inside is nice and specious. The cocktails are very well made. I highly recommend this place.

Delicious mushrooms on this guy but the lean beef meant a pretty dry burger! Definitely gulp it down with a cold bevvie, add ketchup, or both! Loved the library room

Very limited entree options. Waiter could have been more attentive and enjoyed his job more. We were looking forward to dining here after traveling here from the coast, but it was just okay.

Very nice bar with great atmosphere. Bartender, Angelica, was super nice and very helpful. Very knowledgeable about the area and was extremely pleasant to chat with. I always pick hotels with bars and that is the reason why. Getting to different people and learning about the area. Highly recommend.

My wife and I visited Portland for the first time for a wedding and stayed at the Heathman. The hotel is stunning with its library, tiny chocolate shop and the tavern for food and bev. The rooms were comfy and clean, the staff was incredibly accommodating. Even when our flight was canceled they helped us with additional nights and Angelica at the bar was super friendly, listened to our story and made us feel less alone when we just wanted to get home. Highly recommend and will return
