Confused why we were the only ones eating here on a Saturday! This is honestly the best Mexican food I’ve had in the city in years. Everything we had was absolutely 10/10.

This was our first time trying the food here and honestly the food was delicious and AMAZING! My family and I are from Oaxaca as well so I grew up eating my mom’s Mole and even though hers is really spicy, I know everyone makes it different but to me most of these places make it a little too sweet or has a strong cinnamon taste. I got the enchiladas with mole, my partner got a quesadilla and honestly it was the closest to how my family makes it. The mole is not as spicy but I can live with that 😌. I did read other reviews before going and I see how it can be spicy for some people but every culture is different and the only way to get a real taste of the culture is to let the people share their ORIGINAL recipes instead of having them change it. Like i said my family and I are from Oaxaca and we are from the smaller villages from Oaxaca so we are used to the strong spicy flavors and we are proud of it. So it’s nice when we can find a place that can remind us of our culture’s cuisine but it’s hard now days since some people don't respect the traditional and authentic taste and I’ve asked why many restaurants don’t make it as spicy and they all say its because when they do they get complaints about the food being “too spicy” or they get asked random questions about the ingredients, so sadly they have no other choice but to change their home recipes which sucks for us that are trying to get a taste of home 😔. The word authentic mexican cuisine changes due to these issues and the cultures sadly have to change their ways. Overall for the rest of us who want an authentic taste this is the place to go 😌. I recommend the mole enchiladas with chicken 🙌🏼. Now i can finally stop bugging my mom to constantly having to make me some mole 😂.

Amazing tacos! I’ve been 3 times this week. The asada is addictive. Quick and friendly service. Inside the Eocket Empire / Gigantic Brewing building.

Best tacos in Portland and it's not even close. Blue corn tortillas are always perfect, meat options and portion are plenty, and the price is unbeatable. Highly recommend.

Every time I come to Portland, I must eat Mole amarillo and it's only, as far as I know, available here. Yes, only here. I haven't tried other dishes so I have nothing say about them but the mole amarillo is so delicious. The broth is full of flavor. The chicken meat is tasty. The portion is enough for two persons. It comes with rice and tortillas. There's a bar right next door, so convenient.

Amalia catered our Slow Food event at Kindness Farm, and everything was so phenomenal. The food was delicious and plentiful and Amalia's service and catering for our wide range of dietary restrictions was top notch. The blue corn enchiladas with mole sauce were mind blowingly good. We get some pretty good food through Slow Food and lots of our guests commented over and over how amazing the food was. Absolutely recommend Amalia and Tierra del Sol for catering or drop in.

My wife and I ate lunch here today. Neither of us liked it. We split an order of Mole Amarillo. It took a long time to get to us. The server was friendly. We have eaten a variety of Moles before, including in Oaxaca. This Mole was less like a sauce and more like soup. Neither of us enjoyed the taste and it was too spicy for my wife. The place where we ate was super uncomfortable with very hard seats.

The blue corn street tacos were fantastic, huge, full of fillings and flavour, I ordered the spicy salsa which was very hot (to hot for me) but still excellent. Friendly fast service.Indoor seating and outdoor seating shared with the restaurants in the food hall and Gigantic brewery. On street parking only.

One of the best Mexican joints in town. House made organic blue corn tortillas crush it, and I can get more traditional cuts of meat like lengua. Grab a beer from the gigantic brewing tap room in the same space.
