For a $4 taco you’d expect more meat, you could see the tortilla through the minuscule amount of meat in it. The carnitas was dry and salty and the pastor was weird. Similar to mushy ground meat almost like it’s not meat that tastes bland. Pretty upset I paid $17 for this.

We had Tight Tacos come to our fundraiser event and serve our guests. They served great food and treated our supporters with great care. Great team to work with.

This is my favorite place at the Zipper. Every time I have taken a friend here, they have really enjoyed their meal. My favorite thing is the Hellarito with birria. Their online ordering system is really easy to use and they are really quick in making your food. Delicious flavorful food and nice staff. They never forget the hot sauce in your to-go order. Definitely check them out.

Benefit to take tacos for a long time. Ever since the original little cart. The best thing about this location? I can eat tacos from Tight and get top shelf whiskey from PayDirt. If you don’t want quality, do yourself a favor and go to Taco Bell and 40 from the 711, and chill on the street corner enjoyed it. Here are you going to get good food, and good service. And yeah, you need to wait for it and tip.

Disappointed in myself for not trying tight tacos sooner! DELICIOUS ? laid back location with indoor and outdoor dining options. My husband and I split some tacos and it was more than enough food. Can't wait to try the burrito next. Quick and super friendly service. We will be back!

I live in the neighborhood and grab dinner on my way home all of the time. The team is always beyond pleasant and the food never disappoints. The zipper location is my regular spot but the Division location rips as well. Love this spot!

The prices of tacos were a little high, 4 bucks a taco is a little pricey in my opinion but the nacho was huge, very filling and super good. The horchata is not real, but overall was a good experience and the service was pretty good in a fair area in Portland with a bar and a Ramen stand in the same building.

I got the hellurito with the birria as the protein (I think that’s definitely the best) and it was such an amazing burrito. It’s super filling and felt like it must have been two pounds. I had enough leftovers to consider it two full meals. I love the balance of flavor between the crema and nacho cheese balanced out with the onions, protein and other ingredients. It tastes much better than other burritos and is also much larger, great deal and a must try!

This burrito gives me faith in humanity. How did they manage to squeeze in a somewhat crispy layer of cheese in between layers of delicious tortilla and carnitas? Are those tears of joy in my eyes or was it just the spicy salsa?

I just moved to Portland from the Bay Area, one of the best places ever to get a good burrito. I have super high standards for burritos, and have been searching all over Portland for a good one. This is the ONLY place that has met my expectations. It’s the only place that I’ve enjoyed getting a carnitas burrito from. So so happy this place was introduced to me.

Ate here over the years quite a bit. The tacos are quite good but I've found their prices to be getting a little pricey for the amount of food they give you.

Meat eater review: 5/5 My LEAF eater review: 3/5 We decided to drop by Tight Tacos on a random weekday to satisfy my hangry cravings. My omnivore partner grabbed the al pastor, carnitas, and chorizo tacos while I got the impastor and the seasonal veg tacos. We also grabbed some esquites and some thirsty papas (aka nacho fries) to share~ According to my partner, these were the best tacos he's had in Pdx and he highly recommends them for omnivores. My tacos were a bit eh. The impastor one definitely had more flavor but wow the seasonal veg seemed sooo underseasoned and I was slathering both in salsa. Honestly a little bit of a let down. The esquites in one description: LIME AF. Just soooo tangy and acidic which I usually love but this was a little too much lime even for me. The real real real bummer for me were the thirsty papas -- nacho fries which we got topped with soyrizo. I adore fries and order them everywhere we go and these were just so sad and honestly the lowest part of the meal. The toppings were plenty so they definitely did not skimp there, but flavor and taste wise so lacking. The other thing that I found jarring was the price. I know we ordered a lot but I didn't expect to drop quite so much money for what was ordered. I think my overall feel is -- Tight Tacos is great for omnivores and has great intentions with its veggie options though it doesn't quite deliver. If the menu becomes more consistent across the board, this would be higher on the list for me.

I've been here a few times; for the most part they've been consistently decent - but they are just as consistently expensive for what they offer. If you're looking for something to eat while visiting The Zipper, this is a solid recommendation from me. Otherwise, check out Basilisk.

What a great burrito! Got the standard burrito and the hellarito. Only criticism is the hellarito could of been a bit hotter with the way nacho cheese gets if not hot. But that was the only thing to say. These burritos were a warm hug on a cold day. Chips, salsas, all top notch. Delicious. Absolutely delicious. Will 2000% be back!
