The food is good don’t get me wrong but I feel more flavors could have been added to my dishes. The dish was a little bland. The guest service is wonderful and the food is good for the most part. 4 star review.

It was exciting to find a good hollandaise sauce with perfectly poached eggs.
The rest of the food was fine.
Note: They only serve biscuits and gravy on weekends.

I see lots of people raving about this place but I don't get it. First of all, for a place called toast, how do they ONLY have white bread? Maybe it's for the alcoholic beverages that they sell? I ordered a badass sandwich and it was two very thick slices of white bread with a smear of goat cheese, a couple eggs and a very light sprinkle of microgreens. The eggs were well cooked, that gets them a 3. I ordered it for the microgreens and micro was the operative word in the description. I tasted my friend's food and it was likewise only average, nothing great about it. I suppose I've been ruined by the local breakfast eatery in MY neighborhood which blows this place away. When I pay Portland prices for a breakfast I have every expectation that it will satisfy because I'm easy to please and LOVE breakfast eggs. I won't come back, so toast won't be getting a second chance.

One of my favorite places for brunch.
You can tell that these chefs are passionate about food. I admit I'm hard to impress when it comes to brunch, but Toast has done it. They always seem happy to have you, and the food is traditional enough to feel comforting, yet creative enough to keep it interesting on top of that. One of the best brunch places in Portland for sure.

i will not be returning.
The food is good, but the service is hit or miss. New ownership is doing a good job. There may be a wait on the weekends for a bit.

My favorite brunch spots in Portland. The Service is amazing. The food is fantastic really good veggies and egg Dishes. Locally owned and operated. And a real community oriented restaurant. The decor is very homey and welcoming. Love this place!
