Tryon Creek Sports Bar

I have been coming here for years, love the staff. Unfortunately, they have been getting more and more expensive recently, to make up for the lack of customers. The regulars seem nice, and probably their bread and butter....but when I started coming, it was a great local watering hole, with great prices.

Now 9 bucks for a small Mimosa, 9 bucks for a small Bloody Mary, 9 bucks for a draft...no thank you.

No more Happy Hour Menu/Drinks, No more catering to sports events....seems like they might not last too much longer.

NEW MENU! we have been coming here for years and they just changed their menu. Same core group but much smaller. Good thing their food and service is amazing so we will keep coming back for years to come.

A little gem of a bar! Food is so yummy, definitely not your average bar food. Large open space and the crowd/bartender were chill. 10/10 recommend.

Bartender was funny, gorgeous and wanted nothing to do with me🤣

All the food I've had from here has been top tier for a very reasonable price. Staff is always welcoming and friendly and there's lots of other fun things to get into here as well

When we got here, there was one table of 4 before us. They had their menus but gave up waiting and went to Chez Jose. We were helped a bit after that other table left. I asked for a seared salmon, no gluten or dairy. I recieved an overcooked salmon, good vegetables but they gave me gravy and bread. The poor overworked cook gave it to me, not our server. They are desperately under staffed. My husband got a personal pizza which he really liked. I don't think I'll come back. We are now waiting to pay.

Friendly staff, Pausitive Vibes, plenty of entertainment with multiple tvs, Sports Viewing, various games like pool, darts and all the video poker types pub goers want!

Apparently serving people isn’t a priority. Sat at bar for a little under 10 minutes without a single hello. Two bartenders just walking back & forth, occasionally slicing fruit.

Had heard service had fallen off. Guess it’s true.

I keep giving this place a try, but I keep being disappointed. The server that's there every time I visit has a nasty attitude. There's no beer list, but there's a few brewery names on the taps. When asked what their beers are, the bartender read me the brewery names. When I asked "What Breakside is that?" She act annoyed and just said "IPA". Breakside makes around 4 IPAs, so this isn't particularly helpful. I asked for the name of the beer, and after a pained expression, she finally told me. No way i was going through that again to find out the rest of the beers available.

Portland is a town that prides itself on its great beer, but at this place it's like pulling teeth to even figure out what's on the menu. You can find better bars.

Solid pub, and definitely the best in the area! Very friendly staff and they were accommodating to us when they had a channel that would play the hockey game. When they didn’t have a channel for it they let me use the WiFi to watch on my laptop in one of the booths, so kudos to the great customer service there!

Food is also surprisingly good and the burgers definitely hit the spot. Decent beer selection and overall a solid spot ??
