After trying the americanos in three different coffee shops I can tell you that this place is superb in its quality of drinks. Even the drip coffee is superior to the Americanos at the other places, simple as that.

I bought a bag of their Latin American blend coffee and it is tremendous. This place is the cathedral of coffee in the cathedral area.

Great find in the St. John’s area. Motorcycle themed and dog friendly (we were able to bring ours indoors). Good vibes.

They like to let bums and tweakers hangout inside the coffee shop a lot. Unfortunately today one of them swung a tote bag at my girlfriend hitting her in the chest. I followed tweaker lady outside and took care of it but it would be nice to not deal with these "people" when I'm just trying to get a coffee.

I really like this place. Staff is always nice, food/drink is always perfect, and the atmosphere of this coffee shop feels a lot more unique than your average Portland coffee shop. My go-to is hot chocolate and a salt bagel, both of which I highly recommend. They also always have a good stock of their food items (specifically the salt bagel I get every time), which is even better as I know I can rely on Two Stroke to have what I'm looking for. Always a good time coming here!

Bang On the heart of Historic St Johns,
It my look a little rundown and shabby from the outside but definitely step in!
The place has personality and personalities (a lovely local that apparently looks a lot like the 20s comedian Dom DeLuise who I want to thank for treating!) Staff is affable, coffe is on the light roast side and food is sincerely good (I had a sweet potato and chickpea empanada). Definitely recommended

I ordered a toasted bagel and it was both greasy and hard as a rock. I ended up throwing it away because I couldn't eat it. There were also a bunch of dogs in their cafe (clearly not service animals.)

The coffee was nice and the staff was friendly. I'm sure this place is a great fit for some people, but just not for me.

The barista impatiently shouted "what?" when they had a hard time understanding me. There was no list of syrup flavors, and the collection of pastries came without any information on their contents either. If I'm meant to ask the barista to explain all the options to me they could at least be friendly

This place is the best! Their cold brew is potent and delicious. They have all the milk options! Pastry case is on point. Baristas are very compassionate to the neighborhood. Local arists display their wares here and succulents line the windows. Do not forget to pick up a sticker on the way out! Mine is on my tool box. Their motorcycle theme matches the bike shop next door. This is THE St. Johns coffee shop people refer to when two people say let's meet for coffee. Also spacious and good music and seating. I could retire here if I was not properly caffeinated! Also one time I spilled my coffee all over myself and I came back in and they remade my order without even an ask... attentive and kind! I love all the folks here especially Erika who all the puppies seems to try to run to. Oh yeah the place is dog friendly so it is a constant parade of cute neighbor interactions.

Vegetarian options: It is portland. Ask for the milk you want.

Dietary restrictions: Again. It is portland. These people deliver to every crowd.

Parking: Street parking is ample

Kid-friendliness: Nit a bar. I see kids here all the time having a great time with their adults. It is not overly saturated with kids but it is a coffee shop.

Wheelchair accessibility: 100% accessible and by design

Coffee is good, service is good, food is not but reasonably priced. The seating is not comfortable. If you're looking for a place to read a newspaper or book with a no-fuss coffee? Great option. If you want a spot where you can work for a couple hours with a bite in between? There are better options around.

It can be relatively challenging to find a consistent cup of coffee in Portland. Two Stroke is the exception! Their coffee blends are immaculately balanced, often with citrussy notes that go really well with oat milk and honey. The baristas are chill, and it's nice to have an unconventional atmosphere, too. (The cafe isn't necessarily "cozy", but the motorbike paraphernalia is pretty rad!)
