Nice outdoor seating and open space. Service was disappointing. Baristas were not friendly or attentive. Ordered a cold brew with maple cold foam and was told they needed to make more cold foam so I waited outside for +10 mins and came back to check on my drink which had been left sitting on the bar. Would have appreciated someone to check in sooner and/or bring my drink out. Coffee was underwhelming.

My coffee was completely forgotten, and it wasn’t that I missed an order due to the large number of meals. It was just that the clerk simply forgot and started chatting. When he saw me, he asked me what I wanted to do. What are you doing? I hope it has nothing to do with sensitive issues.I really like the layout here. Although it is crowded, it makes people feel comfortable. There is wireless network, but you won’t be able to run when there are many people.

Sipping a natural Colombian Wush Wush pour over. Tasty, bright, very complex, just like sweet juice. Intense but in a good way.A house blend cappuccino (Brazil + Ethiopia) was good, too. A tad too roasty, but it’s always a tad roasty if there’s Brazil in it, usually. Still smooth and not smokey. Also there’s food served here that looks good. Didn’t have any, since wasn’t hungry, but had I been, I’d definitely check it out.Great shop!

Spacious popular neighborhood roaster shop that is almost always filled up. Third wave coffee pour overs and espresso shots are decent options. Plenty of tea drinks from True Tea like Taiwan oolong teas are offered here too. Food available too.Wheelchair accessibility: None

LOVE LOVE LOVE this coffee shop! Excellent coffee, kind service, beautiful experience. They always say hello, and remember my name. Life is good. Make it so! Tnx y’all!
This was my first time there. I had a chai tea latte. It was great. The folks at the counter were friendly and quick. I'll be going back, for sure.

I did post a 5 star review, but unfortunately the service, food and atmosphere has gone down hill. They sometimes leave the doors open when it's cold outside and most of the time leave it cold inside. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich with ham, but they put an extremely thin piece of shriveled ham that didn't cover half the sandwich. I asked nicely for more ham and she was rude and then only gave me a tiny piece of ham.Parking: There is street parking, but usually need to drive around to find a parking spot.Wheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair accessibility

One of my favorite coffee shops in Portland! Finally got the chance to stop by Upper Left Roasters and I was so impressed with the layout of both the indoor and outdoor seating, with a large amount of capacity to hold a good amount of people. And best of all, the service was easy, nice and the barista made a delicious cappuccino! Highly recommend Upper Left Roasters.
