I had no idea until I arrived, this restaurant serves Foie gras. That’s disgusting! Foie gras is force fed diseased duck liver. That’s animal torture. Do not go to any restaurant that serves this torture! Disgusting menu item!

One of the best meals I’ve ever had! Truly memorable. And they were so kind and thoughtful about making sure that my Party and I could all eat as much as we possibly could with our various dietary restrictions. The staff was so knowledgeable. And the sherry flight was the cherry on top!

Urdaneta is incredible! Food is unmatched, service is like being with friends, and ambience is lively but not limiting conversations.

Did I immediately google the starter soup we had in hopes to replicate it at home? Absolutely! But could I find it anywhere, no! Good work chef and hope it remains a staple!!

Table favorites: Jamon pintxo, croquettes, flan, octopus, and basque cheesecake.

This may be my new favorite restaurant in Portland. Every menu item we ordered was delicious, and the service was top notch. It’s a small place and the cozier vibe contributed to such a positive experience. It transported me right back to Spain!

Incredible all around! Our server Erica was fantastic. I personally have a gluten allergy and cannot eat gluten. They even made sure I had a special gluten free menu and shared how they could accommodate my allergy. Erica was a joy to chat with and made our experience so special.

The food was delicious and each bite made me go “yum!!!”. Each item we ordered was fantastic. I would go back in a heartbeat! Highly recommend this restaurant for the delicious food and experience.

Unbelievable. This place has great reviews, but I was still blown away. I don’t know how you aerate a potato, but someone deserves an award for that. Also, the smoked beet salad made me rethink everything I thought I knew about beets. Well done, team!

We really enjoyed the warm welcome, smiles, food, and drinks. I honestly never had such an amazing tender octopus dish. Best Sangaria and Sherry wine! Everything tested delicious.... Reservations are needed..

We went to this Spanish restaurant, and as a Spaniard, I have to say the experience was great. Andrew took care of us and was super friendly the whole time. He explained every dish and even told us a bit about the restaurant’s story.

The food was amazing. After three years living in the U.S., this is honestly the best Spanish food I’ve had here. Everything tasted authentic and really delicious.

Definitely a place I highly recommend!

I first came here for my mom's birthday a few years ago and we had such a lovely time. The team running Urdaneta is amazing, attentive, providing excellent service! Ive loved every dish I've had there. The wine is amazing as well.
Urdaneta should be on your map for when youre out on Alberta street.
Id recommend reservations if you are trying to go on a weekend evening!

Obviously the food is the star of the show, and it did not disappoint.
But the service here is literally the best I've ever experienced in Portland. Everyone we interacted with was smiling and warm and very helpful. They explained every dish as they set it down, and were knowledgeable of the wine and made suggestions to pair with our dinner.
Bravo Urdaneta, THIS is how you run a restaurant.

Remember Toro Bravo? One of the most devastating losses in the Portland dining scene. Well, Urdaneta can scratch that itch. It's a similarly open-kitchen, bustling atmosphere serving up Spanish and Catalan tapas. Fun, inventive dishes that are well executed. Plus riendly service! And the bill was lower than expected.

Every thing was great but the food was so salty my family couldn’t enjoy the food because of the saltines I don’t think I am going back there again thank you for the great service

The most incredible experience. Many places in Portland overcharge or interchange with a PNW vibe. This is the most pure Basque experience we have found on the west coast. Absolutely incredible!

This place absolutely bangs every time I visit. These folks are very good at their jobs. If you eat here and leave disappointed with the quality, service, and/or atmosphere, frankly that's a you problem. You heard it here first!
