Intimate dining room by open kitchen, what a triumph of Spanish culinary excellence in small, shared dishes, extravagant ingredients and wines brought with joy and passion. Thank you?

It was our first time visiting, we had some idea of how the menu worked (ordering smaller bites to share) but we weren't familiar with majority of the items on the menu. Our server was cordial, but not very helpful at explaining the items or offering suggestions. The couple of menu items we did end up trying though, were delicious! It is worth visiting at least once, as I am one to always recommend trying new foods and cultural experiences.

Beautiful place with excellent food, its tapas are delicious and varied. Don't expect to find very large dishes but of very good quality. The place is small so I recommend having a reservation. The staff is super friendly.

I enjoyed my time at Urdaneta. I had the beet salad, the lamb, and the Iberian pork.
The beet salad was delicious. The smoked beets were tasty, and they went very well with the tangy cheese.
The lamb was delicious. It was prepared well, and it was nice and soft. I loved the glaze that came with the lamb. The server mentioned that they used red wine and some type of cola to make the glaze. The lamb and the glaze reminded me of what I had in Barcelona. It came with some cauliflower on the side, which was delicious. The cauliflower was nice and tangy, and it kind of tasted like chimichurri. It also had a slight kick to it.
The ham was delicious. The exterior was nice and crispy, and the interior was nice and soft. The glaze was also delicious. The ham came with some green apples on the side, and I loved how the apples were prepared. They were nice and tart and kind of savory. I appreciated the complex flavors. The cabbage was delicious, too.
Our server was also extremely nice.
I will be coming back!

Urdaneta is hands down one of the best dining experiences in Portland! The intimate, lively atmosphere makes it the perfect spot for sharing plates with friends or a special night out.
The tapas were incredible! Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The Morcilla was rich, flavorful, and expertly spiced and balanced, and the Tortilla de Patatas was soft, tender, and perfectly cooked. Each plate offered a burst of flavor, and it was clear the ingredients were top quality. The whole experience felt like a true celebration of Spanish cuisine, right in the heart of Portland.
If you love tapas and authentic flavors, Urdaneta is a must-visit. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes!

The first time we came here we loved it. This was our second time and it seemed like it was just enough day or month or something. The service was really nice as usual. Croquetas were still nice. Everything else was extremely salty (lamb, gildas-we eat very salty too), or like something basic I’d fix for lunch-tuna salad on bread, ham and American cheese sandwich with truffle honey that didn’t come through at all. The only dish that was reminiscent of the old Urdaneta we knew was the beet salad-that we loved. Oh and my sangria was like 2/3 ice.:(
