Stopped in her at V's for lunch with my man today, and it most certainly did not disappoint. The fried chicken is super crispy & juicy with amazing spices. An the baked beans were definitely on point as well, an V gave us a sample of his famous ribs, which fall right off the bone and have the right amount of sauce, juiciness and meat. Definitely found my new Soul Food spot that is just right around the corner from home. An V made us feel like family, an made a great impression on me and my man. Highly recommend this place for your next solo/family sit down or on the go meal

Best damn chicken and potato salad in Portland!!!I'm coming back for the ribs. They are cooking now and smell amazing!!!Must try!!!Update: I went back for the ribs. Holy cow (no pun intended, lol),Those ribs had a good amount of meat on those bones. The flavor was amazing. The BBQ sauce was so good, the perfect amount of heat and sweet but not too much of each. V just made a new batch of potato salad (his moms recipe) with homemade pickles in it. OMG I'm in heaven with my new little gem, I found on Cully.Can't wait to take my friends and family. Thanks V for treating me like family. You are a treasure. Hugs and loves to you. ?Parking: Small parking lot. But people are mostly taking food to go. If you're patient, you'll find your spot. Or just park on the street. Parking is easy.

Was told right away that they only had seafood and chicken. This is about 330 pm so I ordered the shrimp and fries and ask if the fries were seasoned witch I was told they were. Then I got limp soggy unseasoned fries. Then the shrimp definitely came from some kind of frozen Costco bag and with no cocktail sauce. I have been wanting to try this place for a while and walked away sad with my 14 dollars of barely edible food.

The food is amazing! The only thing I can complain about is that I ordered fish and chicken, and I only got the fish! But that fish was amazing! That's why I'm still giving five stars, if you want real good, authentic soul food this is the place! their greens are amazing, sweet potatoes off the hook! I went looking online for soul food near me and it popped up with a choice of places that are soul food so I found these soul food right so you know it was relatively close I'm on 30th it's on 60th so just kind of close so I go there right because I looked at their menu menu said hey we got ribs we got fish we got chicken we got hot links we got greens we got sweet potatoes you know that's on the menu right so when I go there guess what they don't have no ribs no peach cobbler nothing no greens nothing that is on the menu so I'm hungry so I order something anyway right so I get the chicken dinner comes with two sides since they're out of everything so I have to pick two sides that I didn't want and I ordered a hot link sandwich right so waiting waiting waiting dude comes out with my back boom he gives it to me hey here you go I'm like thank you sir have a nice day boom I go all the way home I get all the way home and find out they forgot my f****** hot link sandwich so I got to go all the way back to get my hot link sandwich and they oh yeah okay and so I got to wait some more Hit be a couple minutes right so two comes out with my bag you know nothing to say hey you know this is our fault here have this I think he offered me a drink I don't know if it was water or soda or whatever but he comes out and he gives me this aluminum foil in a bag and he says oh you know s*** happens that was the apology s*** happens The way to make money in a restaurant business is to have your customers come back I will not be going back

Oh my goodness! The catfish was amazing. We were passing through while on vacation and catfish is something we like to try everywhere we go. It did not disappoint and I'm so happy we stopped. We had an early dinner here and loved it so much we ordered some to take back to the hotel room for later. We also had the mac and cheese and potato salad as sides. They were also really good and did not disappoint. If you have a chance please try this place. Great people, great food, great town.
