Good beer selection for old timers and neophytes alike - shuffleboard and patio a plus

I love this place. Cozy, dark dive bar with good prices, some munchables, and a large patio that is partially covered, and some covered and heated.
This place feels chill and genuine to me. Great beer selection!

I stopped in. The person working there was polite but disregarded me very quickly when I didn't know the local beer name pronunciation.
Be forewarned...the nachos are gigantic. If you want something similar to the nachos go with the nopo bowl. Otherwise sit down with some friends and drinks and have a good time

Epic PDX dive bar has not changed in 2o years. Won best bar to get wasted in back in 2008! Still holds true. The mother loaded nachos could be the best bar nachos in PDX. $18 for large feeds 5 easily. 8 inches tall! Shaded Outdoor deck, daily drink specials, pinball x2, strong pours, cool staff, clean bathrooms. Must try on the pdx dive tour.

Chill back patio.
One of my go-to neighborhood dive bars. They have wifi and outlets to plug my laptop in, so I’ll often go here after the coffee shops close when I need to get a little more work done.
nice crowd, heavy

Vendetta has that old school Portland vibe that’s sorely missed. It’s a spacious location with a sick outdoor patio. They have a good tap list with a. Good variety of great choices. The food is delicious and plentiful - togas were over stuffed, nachos (small) filled a huge plate. The staff were super nice and friendly. They have shuffle board and pinball machines. Two unisex bathrooms. Street parking. There’s an ATM inside. It’s a cool spot to hangout. Music isn’t too loud so you can hang.

Went there for my partners 21st birthday and the bartender denied to serve us because “they don’t serve people on their 21st birthday” and when we asked why he proceeded to lie and say it’s because their ID expired today when it expires in 2027. Not sure what his deal was, we are openly lgbtq so maybe that influenced him to do this but highly do not recommend.

Hostile bartender - night after ice storm, pipes burst and can’t make food at home, tried 5 different restaurants and all closed, just wanted some food. One of us left ID at home because we thought there would be at least one restaurant open and didn’t think we’d need to try a bar. Bartender aggressively refused us service and wouldn’t let us get a word in - if he’d given us a moment we could’ve opened up a photo of the ID on a phone. Didn’t feel like it was worth pushing because he was already so escalated, it felt like he was going to threaten us. To be so aggressive and unkind on a night like this when people are just looking for food… just sad. Obviously never going back to this place that I was hoping would be my new neighborhood spot
