The menu had lots of options, something for everyone. Portions were generous. Food was tasty. No one complained. Server was attentive and helpful.
They're all vegan menu is absolutely delicious. We had the breakfast burrito and biscuits and gravy. The atmosphere is that of a diner in the '90s. Laid back and comfortable.

Great food
An unassuming, blast from the past cafe with a new age menu. Everything was absolutely delicious. What’s surprising is the amount of in house made items they have. Sauces, proteins, pancake mix, even the syrup is homemade. I recommend the desserts as well. We will definitely be back.

Yes, the typical diner vibe…but at least it’s tasty vegan food. We tried the Ian Mackaye on rye, which was fantastic! The lentil veggie patty was great and we’re thankful they had a non-“fake” option available. The side salad was huge and delicious. Also the PDX cheeze stake, which okay (not much flavor) but would have been better on rye. We took a tiramisu to go and it was perfectly moist and flavorful.
50's dinner experience. Plenty of parking. Great vegan options. I had a vegan chicken sandwich with a side of mac and cheese. The server talked me into tiramisu
, unbelievably good, best ever. No waiting and food was prepared quickly. I will be coming back.

Yummy classic vegan diner food! Super chill, Nick took excellent care of me. I will be back (probably often).
This place is in desperate need of a major overhaul. It doesn’t matter how good the food is—and honestly, it wasn’t even close to acceptable—because the environment completely overshadows everything. The space feels dirty, tired, and neglected. It’s clearly a repurposed old-school diner that went vegan without making any real effort to update or clean up. The floors were sticky from harsh cleaning products, the air smelled off, and the booths still look like old leather. It just feels gross. In a city like Portland, where vegan options are abundant and the bar is high, this place falls embarrassingly short. We’ve been to many vegan spots around town that blew us away. That’s why the glowing reviews on HappyCow feel suspect at best. This place can do better. Adding to the strange experience was an Arabic food truck randomly parked in the lot—completely unrelated and out of place. Overall, it felt chaotic, uninviting, and nowhere near the kind of vegan dining experience Portland is known for. Updated from previous review on 2025-08-01
This is the best diner food i have ever come across in my long vegan existence AND prehistoric non-vegan existence. I thought i made the best tofu scramble in the game but i was humbled today. No complaints with a single thing i got. On top of that this place was blessed with its staff. You already know how the chef is from what i said about the food. And I think they must have lured Nick the waiter here with promises of a lifetime supply of pancakes or something cause this guy is a treasure to all life in the greater portland area and was literally running the restaurant by himself. I didnt see anyone else staffing outside the kitchen. Apparently he was also controlling the music which i was initially confused about cause i thought my phone had somehow connected to the speakers and started playing my best of the 80s playlist, then he later mentioned being a fan of metal, which is known to be a good omen for vegans. Oh yeah also every table has paper and colored pencils right off the bat. And Nick got us a pencil sharpener too. This is ideal living conditions for almost everyone i know. Give them a raise or i am coming back with my goons and adjusting the payroll myself (this is of course a joke, i would obviously only return with my goons to treat them to breakfast. i am serious about the raise tho. They better be as valued from the inside as they are from the customers who make it apparent on the wall of drawings). Plus there is a huge up to date list of other vegan restaurants in the area on every table.

Do not come if you have allergies!!!! My brother was served something with nuts after we specifically asked if it was nut free and was assured it was. Completely not ok and it wasn’t even busy he just didn’t check the ingredients out of pure laziness. I’m very upset the most important job as a waiter is making sure allergies are taken seriously and it was not. If you have allergies I would not take the risk which is really disappointing because the food is very good.
Excellent food, friendly service, great (bottomless!) coffee. Also bright, beautiful space and comfortable booths!

I’ve been here lots of times and keep coming back. Today we split the dude cakes, mac, and biscuits. Couldn’t decide which we liked more! Always a good bet.
