Very nice and cozy place, the parking was super tight and limited. Ambiance was very peaceful and every dish was yummy. We got the takoyaki, gyoza, men-taiko udon, and miso kama age udon. Next time I would like to try their handrolls.

I’m so thrilled that this little udon shop exists in Portland! I ordered some sake, sashimi, and tempura udon and everything was delicious. Can’t wait to go back!

Life changing udon experience with the Kama-age udon. Cute atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Quaint no frills Japanese restaurant serving home made udon. You must come during lunch hours and try the Teisho lunch set which offers a rotating fish dish depending on what's in season alongside an assortment of side dishes including sashimi. The quality of food here is just as good if not better than what you can find in Japan and don't forget to get a pint of Kirin on draft served in an ice cold mug. The waitresses are also very kind and will make sure you feel welcome and enjoy your meal.

Food was delicious, perfect portions. Cute atmosphere, cool bathrooms?... Bidet they do.. lol. The server explained the proper way to eat certain foods, frozen cups for soda!! Gyoza were hotter than the sun (best way to eat them). Noodles from scratch was definitely a bonus. Felt like a warm hug while eating there. Will definitely come back!!
Parking: Street parking, may have to pay on weekdays.. park closer to flower bloom ( coffee shop) and there was free street parking there. Like a block worth of walking.

What a gem! I’m so glad PDX has an udon shop like this one. Authentic simple meals without the fuss of a typical “fancy” sushi restaurant.
Sushi hand rolls! A simple joy that doesn’t exist on many me is from the larger PDX sushi places like Mirakutei and Yama. Both good but also both too fancy for me on a Wednesday lunch.
Wa Kitchen Kuu had an excellent Mentaiko udon. It's the only place in PDX that i know that serves this simple Japanese classic. my sentiment is the same about their hand rolls. simple hard to find classic!!

Udon was good. Sushi was not. Atmosphere and service are top notch. Very clean. Just go somewhere else for sushi.
