We have eaten at ox many times and I've always thoroughly enjoyed it. This time was different. The service was lackluster at best. The lamb was inedible due to grizzle and fat. The experience was not at all what I have grown to expect and to happily pay for. I'm not sure we will be back.

10 out of 10, one of the best restaurant experiences we have ever had. Food was phenomenal, service was amazing, looking forward to returning.

My first exposure to Ox was very enjoyable. The food was fabulous and very pleasant staff.

Outstanding food! Spectacular service! Yet, giving a low star rating because, despite making a reservation nearly a month in advance for a very special celebration and requesting “side car” seating, somehow, our host wasn't able to save a table for us in that area of the restaurant - even though we were one of the very early seatings that evening. Instead, we were seated in the most trafficked area of the restaurant at the table immediately next to the kitchen. The explanation for how this happened fell well short of being customer friendly.

Ox never fails to deliver. The food is always delicious and the service is always impeccable. And I love the way it smells either way that wood fire going as soon as you step through the door.

Food was amazing and the servers are just the best. We asked them to turn down the music and they kindly did.

This was my first time visiting Ox. I came with six friends and had a reservation. The food was outstanding as was the service. Warm and professional care. Not rushed but not slow. Perfect tempo. I would definitely come back. We got a mix of lots of different dishes, all of which were of generous portion and quite delicious. I understand why it is popular. You should really try this place. Amazing!! We started with chowder and beef tartare then the strip steak, pork chop potatoes and carrots. Everything was delicious and would highly recommend

We had an amazing 40th birthday for my son at Ox! First, I want to commend Ox for the amazing service that we received! I don't think we've ever been to a restaurant whose waitstaff was so attentive and anticipated our every need. Even with 6 of us, all of our food came out at the same time, thanks to 3 servers carrying numerous dishes! The food at Ox is amazing! We had numerous dishes and each was delicious and excellently prepared! Even the items that were not my favorites were still very well prepared and flavorful. The baguette was warm and tasty. The chimichurri was really good without being too spicy. The clam chowder, while not tasting like typical chowder, was amazing. I could have made a meal out of it. It was just a touch on the spicy side, but not too much. The maple carrots were really good as was the mushrooms and onions. We had both the skirt steak and ribeye and both were cooked to perfection; tender and juicy! The scallops were cooked well and the celeriac puree was delicious. The pekin duck was excellent as well as the roasted spaghetti squash with ragu. The standout of the evening was the pork chop. We all agreed it was the best pork chop that we had ever had! Even the three that were not pork fans thought it was delicious! You would think after having all that food that there would be no way that we could have room for dessert, but we managed:-) We had both the hazelnut torte and the vanilla bean tres leche cake. Both were amazing and such a great end to our meal. I will warn you that Ox is not en inexpensive restaurant. It is a James Beard award winner and as such, quite expensive. That being said, we felt that our money was very well spent for the experience that we had at Ox. I can't wait for my next son to turn 40:-)

Both the romaine/radicchio salad and the grilled prawns with chickpea stew were good but nothing exceptional. The Catalan wine was very good, a grape variety I had not known of before. We eat at OX every few months using our Cheftables gift card and it appears the menu is static, I would like to see different offerings. I love octopus but not in stew! Just grilled whole! And, some of the truly authentic Argentine cuisine using offal on the grill would be delicious. Thanks, Maggie

Best filet mignon steak I have ever eaten. Hands down! My wife also liked her skirt steak! Great 65th Birthday dinner!

We had the best time celebrating my husband's birthday! The service all around was so lovely! The recommendations were amazing and we had one of our favorite meals ever! The space is gorgeous too! So thankful for a wonderful night!!!

Everything about our dinner at Ox was perfect. The service was excellent. Our server asked if it were a special occasion and we told her it was our anniversary. She not only brought us a little treat on the house, but written in chocolate on our dessert plate was Happy Anniversary. The food was delicious and our server's recommendations were spot on. We are incredibly picky when it comes to dining out and we were already talking about when we'd come back before we even left.
