If you are a spicy food addict, this is the place for you. I stayed in pdx for the week and every thai or lao place I went to, I asked to make my papaya salad super spicy. WE was the only place that set my mouth on fire. Flavors were bold and authentic. A lil bit on the saltier side. I also had the nam khao. Maybe I came in on a bad day. But I did not enjoy it. It was not crispy at all. A bit mushy and quite heavy on the salt. I do hope to try more from their menu.
Best authentic papaya and cucumber salad in town! I’ll drive all across town to get it! Oh yeah everything else is amazing too. The family that runs this is place is so friendly and warm. They are invaluable to our community.
White Elephant catered for our wedding, and not only was their food amazing but the WE team was the best! Even after our wedding, many of our guests are still raving to us about it being the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. The food was beautiful and so thoughtfully presented! We had mango sticky rice, Thai tea, and Ube-BAE for our dessert and refreshments and they were a hit!
