Incredibly rude lady works here. My girlfriend and I came in around 8-8:30. Several tables were open, like 3-4 at least. Slow night. We were told to sit any where we like. We sat at a "4 top", so we could sit side by side, and a lady cleaning silverware at the bar came over, literally pulled one of the tables out from under me without a word and moved it along side the table next to us, and said we'll just keep this 4 top open in case we need it and walked away. She stood at the bar cleaning silverware the rest of the time we were there. The new "4 top" she created also sat vacant next to us the entire time we were there. Food was pretty good. No thanks.

Wilder never disappoints! Amazing food, drinks and service. Last visit, Ben took care of us at the bar and just went above and beyond. Can't go wrong with any of the food/drink, but Frere Comte is a tasty cocktail, as well as their burgers and fried chicken.

Fantastic little place. The burgers and salads aren't overly complicated, but well made with quality ingredients. The staff was friendly and engaging when appropriate, and non-intrusive when I had my earbuds in to study. There are more expensive restaurants with better food, but Wilder is a champ for its weight class.

Update your hours! I just drove across town to come eat your food! It’s says you’re open!

had a pretty crappy experience with the staff at Wilder. simply couldn't be bothered to respond professionally or courteously when we asked if we could have a cocktail or beer while we waited for a table. Despite being patient, respectful, and kind while we waited. I'm speaking specifically about a male bartender who copped an attitude from the beginning then couldn't even be bothered to respond aside from saying, "no we really can't do that, you'll just have to wait". Apparently I must have confused myself with the customer. luckily, Expatriate is less than a block away and the service was outstanding.

Yum! Good food! Although the veggie burger is a mess to eat. They're always busy, so be aware you might be waiting for an hour or more for a table.

Never a bad dining experience, usually seats available at the the bar when it gets busy. Dishes prepared with care, a small menu with plenty of options. Well thought out concept and great use of space. You will not be disappointed in their offerings or reasonably priced drinks.

The perfect neighborhood spot! We love walking here with our dog for a summer night on the patio or a cozy spot inside for a spontaneous date night. The drinks & good are both great - we love when they change their menu & have some really lovely dishes to try! The staff is always very friendly as well which means so much as a customer!

I've been hearing about the wilder burger for a long time. Never heard a bad thing about it. That burger lived up to its reputation. I added the egg and bacon and it was excellent. One note about egg on a burger. Please chef, over medium not over easy. An exploding over easy egg on the first bite of a burger does an incredible job of ruining clothing and dismantling a what would otherwise be fantastic experience. Fortunately, I learned this lesson at a different restaurant and learned how to avert disaster, so the over easy exploding egg at Wilder merely added flavor to my salad instead of ruining my fancy outfit. Both of our severs/bartenders were superb. Very attentive and engaging. I must mention that we sat at the bar. The atmosphere was great for our purposes. Kind of a classy, upscale divey-type vibe. Perhaps not divey.....perhaps.....rustic. i would definitely go here again. My friend said the fried chicken was ok. He wished he'd gotten the burger again instead.Dietary restrictions: Fried chicken is GF and there are GF options for the burger as well!

This place is a bedrock Portland neighborhood restobar having just reached its 10-year anniversary. Unlike many other places it has taken the energy of its foundation and maintained it with an eye on unpretentious (yet actually gourmet and locavore) fare and a very solid bar situation at a great price point. The staff seem happily connected to each other and their customer the vibe is consistently warm and inviting in any weather.
