Every time we find a ramen shop online I have a knot in my tummy driving there. It's like I'm just waiting to be disappointed by the non-Japanese owner / cook (I know it's not just me) 🤷 i'll admit the name of this shop had me thinking this would be yet another inauthentic ramen shop 😂 I was so wrong!

Wu-Rom's is Japanese owned and chef'd! I walked in and could hear Japanese at the counter immediately! Very friendly people, comfy and cozy atmosphere. The Tonkotsu is by far the best we've had in Oregon. Finally! 😅

If you've spent time in Japan, you may have become a ramen snob unintentionally as we have. This great comfort food satisfies the lingering need for good ramen after leaving the island. We live an hour away but will frequent here.

I've been going here too long without saying something. This spot is the best ramen shop in the city and my all-time favorite place to eat. This family-run restaurant will knock your socks off with an authentic and delicious meal. The interior is charming and the service is fantastic. The chef Taka is a true master at what he does and each bowl is a celebration of the best flavors from Fukuoka prefecture and beyond. You will be planning your next visit before you're out the door. Cheers, Wu-Rons, we're lucky to have you.

I sincerely think this may be the best restaurant in Portland! Every time I think I want to go out to eat somewhere WuRons always crosses my mind! We live 25min away and it is NEVER an issue to come eat here. I love the #5 with ground chicken. My favorite part, aside from the family like service level, is the consistency!

Very authentic - felt like we were back in Japan. Tried #1 and #3 - can’t go wrong with the tonkotsu broth.

Came from LaGrande Oregon, in eastern Oregon. To visit some friends and wanted ramen. The wait was well worth the food that we ate. 5 stars. Will come back to the area for sure. Thank

Absolutely delicious ramen, fantastic atmosphere, impeccable service. 10/10 will return.
We had the cucumber salad, karaage and the #2 Ramen. Everything was scrumptious.
Check comes with the most adorable carousel of DumDums I’ve ever seen.
Bring a friend. Go here on a date. Chill by yourself. Loved it.

absolutely good, the broth is really thick and yummy. Its just will be way better if you use a handmade noodle but its still really great.

Wow, this place feels like it is in a pocket dimension. Walking through the second set of doors you are transported into a real Japanese izakaya. The walls are adorned with rustic camping stoves, M&M memorabilia, historic license plates and Japanese movie posters.(My favorite poster is the Lupin III poster with Koichi Zenigata in the kitchen.) The menu is consice with options to customize your ramen and make it a set with karaage. The Sapporo miso ramen has an umami-rich broth that is slightly smokey and buttery. Every sip was incredibly comforting. The submerged wavy noodles were cooked to perfection. The added marinated egg was wonderful and tofu was seared on the edges and soft in the center. I cannot wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.

We’ve been coming to Wu-Ron’s Ramen for a while now—probably over 20 visits—and it never disappoints. It’s a small, tucked-away spot that we only share with a handful of people because we love being able to stop in and enjoy a fresh, consistently amazing bowl of ramen without the crowd. The quality is always spot on, no matter the day. The waitress always remembers our order, which makes it feel like home, and the cook always greets us with a smile. That kind of warmth and consistency is rare, and it’s one of the many reasons we keep coming back. Wu-Ron’s is one of those hidden gems you want to keep to yourself, but honestly—it’s too good not to recommend!

Wow, the broth is so rich. Best ramen that I've had so far in Portland. The chashu is also cooked very well. Very simple in terms of toppings in its base form, but filling. The chicken karaage wasn't the crispiest, but it was seasoned well. Just an fyi, they're a three-person operation, so please be patient as they cook your meal :). Takes credit card and cash

Fantastic lunch spot a short walk from OMSI. Great flavor, great service. Had both the shoyu and the tonkatsu recommended both. I enjoyed the tonkatsu more with Kaedama.
